The Bar Owner's Daughter

Clarke Stevenson is the daughter of the owner of the popular bar in London. Ever since she was 16 she would watch a local guy, Harry Styles get drunk and get into bar fights. One night after a violent bar fight Clarke takes care of Harry. They later develop a friendship that know one seems to agree with.

33. Part 2: Years

Harry's P.O.V

I walk along the streets of New York with my coffee in hand. Gemma was promoted. I'm happy for her, but Clarke is here too. She lives here, not because her dad, but because of her success.

I walk past the Barnes and Noble and something catches my eye, a book. I look at the display shelf and see a book by Clarke Stevenson. I know she's a writer, but this book is different. It's about me. Aligned Stars. I walk in the store and Clarke is on the tv. She looks different, shorter hair, redder hair, skin slightly more pale, skinnier, and just looks more mature.

"Now what is this book about." The interviewer says.

"It's about a girl named Carter and she's the daughter of a bar owner. She meets a guy, Harrison, and it just goes from there." She smiles.

"So it's a love story?" The interviewer asks.

"Yes, it is." I go up to the YA section to find it. It would be there right, she liked YA. Yeah, it's there next to Eleanor and Park and Anna and the French Kiss. I pick it up and read the first page.

"What the hell!" Someone screens from the bar. The 2am shift is always the exciting one I guess. Dad says never get in the middle of the fights. So I stay in the back room. Theres a crash and a bang. The bar is probably a mess and I'm the one who has to clean it up.

I open the door and see that everyone is gone but a guy laying on the floor drunk as can be and bleeding. I walk over to the man, it's Harrison.

"Carter what happened?" Dad asks from his room. I don't respond, he knows what happened. I pick him up and drag him across the bar. He's heavy.

"Come on Harrison move your feet." I struggle. He moves his feet but it basically does nothing-

I close the book. I knows what happens. I know the horrible ending. I thought she would've left out some details and put better ones in. But no. I want to buy this book, but I don't want to read it.

"Sir may I help you?" A lady says. I look at her and shake my head. I go back down stairs and buy the book. I wasted 20 dollars on Clarke's book.

"If you would like to meet the author, come here at 1pm tomorrow, she's having a book signing." The cashier says. I nod and smile. Maybe I'll go, maybe I won't.

(Another update! I'm gonna write Clarke's book in a different movella. It's gonna be a bit different from this one. It's also gonna be in more detail.)
