3. Getting Comfortable

"Want to see what being famous is like and come with me to a interview?" Simon asked me. "Sure. I don't see why not." I smiled and we walked to his other car. "I just want you to see what being famous is like, just so you know how to handle fans and stuff." He said and I nodded. "I am learning from the best coach." I said and he smiled really big. We finally pulled up to this huge building and we both walked in.

Simon led me into a room and we stood behind a curtain. "Introducing, Simon Cowell and a guest!" A tall man said into the mic. We both walked onto the stage and sat at our seats behind the table. "Thank you everyone for coming out today." Simon said and I sat there, scared, embarresed, shy. "You probably have been wondering who this girl is. Well I can put those rumors to rest. This is Selena Cowell, my adopted daughter. Selena, would you like to introduce yourself?" Simon said looking over at me and asking me the question.

"Hello everyone, I used to be Selena Johnston, but now I am Selena Cowell. Is there any questions about me that you want to ask?" I said when asking the question. "How did you meet Simon?" A lady said as she wrote in her notepad. "Well, I was sitting in my dorm, looking out the window. I saw a corvette pull up and park. My motherly figure, Martha, told me I had a adoption interview. I got ready and walked in to see Simon sitting there. That's how I met him, honestly. I don't know how he knew me." I said into my mic.

"How did you find out about Selena?" Another reporter asked. "Well, I have been lonely for a long time. I have always wanted a daughter so I could spoil her, then miss Martha brought out Selena." Simon said and he looked over at me and I smiled. "Will you still spoil her even though she is how old?" A news person asked us. "I am 16." I said and Simon started to talk. "Even though she is 16, she doesn't have to be a little girl to just be spoiled and special to me." He said and tears filled my eyes.

Maybe he really does care about me. "Selena, do you think you will ever get used to all of this?" A woman asked me and she looked so interested. "Its going to be a little confusing at first. No, I may not be this perfect girl that many want to see, but there is no such thing as a perfect girl. I just have to adjust to lifestyle, fame, and family, its going to have its bumps in the road, but I know that I can do it. Its a new chapter for me." I said and the whole room cheered and clapped. I looked over at Simon and he gave a thumbs up under the table.
