Another World

An odd story about a house. It started as a school project and ended up with something else. Niall was drawn to the house and I was attracted to. None of us realized what we had started. We didn't know it was too late, not until Harry Styles stood before us.

2. The house

Everyone would sit down with the person they would work with. On shaky legs, I went over to Niall and I cleared my throat. He looked tired up on me, but he neither smiled or said a single word.
"Should we try to work together." I mumbled a little bit uncertain. "I guess we will have to decide building and how to add up the work?"
Niall nodded a little bit. I took a chair and sat down next to him. I felt like an idiot, but I tried not to show it. He said, still not a single word. He just looked at me, his blue eyes didn't looked dangerous anymore and he was just a cute kid.
"So do you have any suggestions?"
Niall shook his head and seemed to try to look normal. I sighed a little bit and glanced over at the teacher. Why did he have to let me work with Niall? I wanted to work with someone who at least talking to me.
"I have a suggestion for a house."
I balked. He had whispered to me and I looked back at him.
"You got a suggestion?"
He nodded and looked down at his own hands.
"I don't know what the house is called, or if it's an old house, but it's on my street. Down at the forest."
I had no idea where he lived, but it was a better idea than nothing.
"And why should we choose that house?"
Niall looked at me again and he seemed to think.
"I just like the house and maybe we can find out the previous owners or who built it?"
Our teacher came up to us and he didn't seem to understand that I was opposed to a collaboration with Niall.
"How's it going?"
I swallowed and smiled uncertainly at him.
"Well, Niall has a suggestion for a house, but I don't know which house it is."
The teacher didn't seem to care. Instead he looked at Niall and he seemed intrigued. Niall blushed slightly and looked down on the bench.
"A house on my street." he whispered uncertainly. "Away in the woods is a house that seems old and I believe that one should be able to find out a little about the former owners and more."
Our teacher was immediately hooked for Nialls idea. I was surprised how quickly Niall had managed to persuade him.
"Oh, good, you live on Lemon Street? I assume you mean that the mansion in the woods?"
Niall nodded. The teacher liked the idea and he showed it with his whole face.
"Good choice!" he said against my will. "I have heard there are ghosts there. Maybe you can get some information about the piece too? It may be a good job and you have much to go on."
I disagreed, but I didn't dare say anything.

"He talked to you?"
I nodded to Emma but I wasn't amused. I wasn't even proud over that I have heard him talk and I could barely bother me over the job.
"We are going to write about an old house on his street."
She laughed.
"Me and Annie are going to write about the town hall. Speaking about that I have more fluency with school?"
I agreed.
"And I'm stuck!"

I chose to bike to Nialls street after school. I wanted to see the house and I wanted to know what I should write about. I must admit I was surprised. It was an old house that certainly was built in the eighteenth century. I went in to the yard and up to the house. I stopped and just stared at it. I understood why Niall wanted to write about that place. It looked very old, but the roof was completely. Some windows were smashed and the door was half open. It appeared on the long road that no one lived there and I smiled a little bit. Maybe it was a perfect topic? "The house in the woods!" we could rename the paper added. I was happy, indeed! Niall had been right. The house was something extraordinary and I understood why our teacher had said yes.
