Best Friends with the Redheads

We all know George and Fred Weasleys story. Right? Maybe not. Meet Amber Chelsea, a witch in Fred and George's year. They become best friends, and along with Lee, cause mayhem at Hogwarts. Each adventure leads to another, strengthening their friendship and creating new bonds. And in the end... Who knew that one girl could change everything?

15. The Tool of the Century

A dark long hallway looms in front of me. "This is so cool!" I whisper. Me, Fred, George and Lee, (Who has finally gotten over his sickness) are exploring the secret tunnels on the map. This one is supposed to go near the entrance to the Slytherins house. George grins and Lee nods vigorously.

"I still can't believe this is real." he says.

I roll my eyes and Fred elbows Lee. "Well wake up and smell the musty tunnel air, cause this is real."

I grin and continue on walking. We reach the end of the tunnel and push the wall. It opens up with out a peep and we walk into the corridor. Its after curfew so the hallways are dark and empty. We each take a stink bomb from Freds outstretched hands and throw them down the corridor.

"Into the tunnel again." George says over the boom of the exploding stink bombs. This time the tunnel is not covered by a portrait or tapestry, but it is plain wall. George touches a certain brick and it opens up. We all climb into the tunnel and close the opening before Filch can find us.

"Let me see the map," I say to Fred, he hands it over and I squint at the old paper. Filchs dot is moving fast through the hallways. Lee bends over my shoulder to see the map and I hand it to him. Finding the map was totally worth it, even with the week of detention we earned ourselves. Nothing says 'Well earned' like scrubbing old trophies.

"Lets go, I want to try the tunnel by the kitchen." George says.

I laugh. "Trust you to always think of your stomach"

George grins. "My stomach happens to be very important."

"Not as important as mine" Fred says, shoving George into the wall.

We walk down the tunnel and get out at the other side. We make our way to the kitchen, Lee controlling the map. We get to the place the tunnel starts and we stand in front of a picture of a bowl of fruit. George tries tugging on the frame of it.

"Wait," Lee says. "The map says 'tickle the pear'"

George touches the pear and tickles it. The pear laughs and the portrait swings open. "That's something" I say, waiting for Fred to go through.

"Don't tell me you haven't seen weirder things." George grins.

"Of course I have! I hang out with you three!"

"I'm going to take that as a complement." Fred says.

I grin. "Its the only one your going to get."

The tunnel ends with a great wooden door. George opens it and we step in the kitchen. My eyes widen. All around us are little house elves. I've read about them in books, but have never actually never seen one. Only rich families have house elves. One with a red cloth tied around its waist offers us cookies.

"I think I'm going to like it here" Lee grins.

We leave the kitchen with full stomachs. My eyes droop and I would like nothing better than to go to sleep.

"How about we try the-" Fred begins.

"No," I cut him off. "Lets go to bed, I want to be able to stay awake tomorrow night to."

"Ambers right, All those desserts have made my sleepy." George yawns.

"You did eat enough for all of us." Lee says.

"I was hungry," George defends himself.

If I was any more awake, I would have reminded him he had two hamburgers and a load of potato salad for supper.

"Okay, fine, we can do this tomorrow." Fred says. And we finally trudge back to the Gryffindor House for a much needed sleep.
