Falling For You

Matt Healy, your typical guy. The type that likes to impress people, he'd do anything to get attention.

No matter how important the next few years ahead were, he didn't care. All he cared about was writing.

By writing, I don't mean the author type. I mean the singer, songwriter. He'd always had a thing for writing songs.

Obviously, he was one of the popular guys in the university he was now attending.

He'd taken a variety of subjects and courses for the few years he'd be spending in this place, one of the main ones being music.

At first, he thought the whole idea of attending a university was ridiculous, he didn't think that he'd get anything out of it.

It all begins to change when the year starts and he meets new people. He makes new friends, and enemies, but there's a certain person that catches his eye.

7. chapter seven

Matt's POV;

It'd been a good half hour since I sent that text to Tegan. She'd read it, I know she had. Under the text message, it had said 'Read 18:08'

It was now 10 minutes too 7. The door to my room had opened, George walking in, along with two other lads. I'd seen them before, they seemed like cool guys. I'd just never spoke to them.

"Matty, mate. Get whatever you need and come with us, there's a party and it's going to be fucking great." George laughed.

"Who's is it?" I asked, curious in case it was that 'Styles' party. Not like it'd stop me from going or anything. God, that'd persuade me even more.

"I'm not actually sure but everyone's going for the sake of getting to know each other but I'm sure they all have different ways of doing so." George winked.

The two guys who we're standing in the room belonging to George and myself laughed slightly, nodding their heads.

"Come on, mate. It'll be fun." One of the guys smiled. "I'm Ross."

I nodded my head as he introduced himself. I thought about it for a while, the other guy introducing himself as Adam was practically begging me to go.

My mind focused back to Tegan. The realisation of her ignoring my texts. I know, it's sort of pathetic how I'm hurt over the fact she didn't reply.

"Stay here. Give me a few minutes!" I told the three of them, making it clear in my voice for them to stay there.

I opened the door to our room, quickly walking out of it and down the hall. Again, I found myself standing outside her room, lightly tapping on it.

I could hear a frustrated sigh escape her lips and I pictured her through inside, moving herself off her bed.

"What do you want, Matthew?" She questioned as she opened the door. I found it quite amusing how she knew it was me before she even opened the door.

"Get dressed, we're going out." I told her.

She looked at me as if I was some sort of idiot and said something that was never happening.

"No. You're going out, I'm staying here." She smiled.

"Tegan, get dressed now before I force myself past you and grab clothes out of your wardrobe and dress you myself." I glared at her, the look of disgust was clear on her face.

"For crying out loud, fine." She sighed, walking back into her room, leaving the door open.

I watched as she picked up a few things off the side and walked back over to me.

I looked her up and down, letting her outfit sink in. She was wearing a pair of white jeans and a ridiculously bright t-shirt with awful shoes.

"What?" She sighed.

"Nothing." I shook it off, once she spends more time with me, clothes like that will be going.

We made our way back to my room, it wasn't a long walk, but it seemed to be considering there was no conversation the whole way there.
