12. Chapter Eleven

Hey guys! I'm so sorry I haven't been updating recently! I've been at my grandma's, and that's where I am right now but found a spare moment to write for you guys. Sorry if it isn't a long one!

Jason's POV:

I'd been staring at the wall four hours, now. It was almost midnight and Victoria still wasn't home. I'd searched for her for hours, but there was no result.

My parents had wanted me to go to sleep, but I refused to go not knowing if she was okay or not. I felt like something was eating me alive.

Finally, the door opened quietly and I jumped up. Victoria's eyes widened at the sight of me and she closed the door as quietly as she could.

''Where were you? I was worried sick,''I felt a weight been lifted off my shoulders, knowing she was okay, not bruised or anything.

''Sorry, I know I left my phone at home, I should have taken it.''

She gave me no explanation on where she had been, so I questioned her again.

''Look, Jason..there are some things you don't know about me,''She looked me into the eyes and I already knew that her statement had been true, but I still refused to let the matter drop.

''Tell me where you were, Vic.''I grabbed her hand, and she sighed.

''You better sit down,''She mumbled and I did as told. She followed me and sat beside me, I could see that she was nervous.

''Hey. Don't be nervous, I won't judge, okay?''I squeezed her hand to make the overwhelming desire to kiss her go away.

''When I was fifteen, I was really messed up. Things at my foster home weren't going that good, and I would get abused daily. So I started to hang out with the wrong people. I wanted to have some friends, cause I had none at that time. They were the only people that I thought cared about me. They made me take drugs, and drink, but I can't say that I refused. I liked it, because it took the pain away. But when I finally realised that what I was doing was wrong, they told me that I can't back out. I wanted to, but they wouldn't let me. Thankfully I was placed to another foster home then, but Dan and the others told me that they would still find me and I guess they were right.''She let out a deep breath after she had explained everything to me, and I was speechless.

I didn't know how much she'd actually been through and it hurt me, really hurt me, to hear her talk about that. But she had to know that I wouldn't let anything happen to her.

I wrapped my arms around her and she was quiet.

''I won't let them do anything to you, baby. You'll never get hurt again,''I promised, and rubbed her back with my hands, trying to soothe the tension in her body.

''You don't know what they're capable of,''She whispered, and I knew she was right, but I didn't care.

''They will never make you do something that you don't want to baby, I swear on my life.''

Victoria's POV:

I don't know why I hoped that the day in school would run smoothly, cause it was the exact opposite. When we finally made it inside, I opened my locker and tried to ignore the intense stares been thrown at me and Jason, who was currently talking to his friend.

''Hey, slut. I don't know how Jason can date a drug addict like this,''a girl shoved a picture into my face, and I took a sharp breath. It was me, on Dan's lap, a cigar in my hand and I was holding a small, see through bag with white powder in it.

''That's bullshit. I've changed.''I slammed my locker and faced the blondie who was still next to me for some unknown reason.

She laughed out loud, too loud, causing everyone to look in our direction.

''Changed? How do we know that you have changed? You probably have cocaine in your bag right now, don't you?''She tried to grab my bag, but a strong pair of hands quickly stopped her.

''Leave her the fuck alone.''Jason's voice spoke in front of me, and I stepped next to him.

''How are you not ashamed, Jason? Everyone knows what a drug addict your girlfriend is. Not to mention she was drinking too. Pretty fucked if you ask me,''She told Jason and his whole body filled with anger.

I quickly stepped in between the girl and Jason, not wanting another fight to combust.

''You don't know anything. You don't know what I've been through, so I suggest you to shut your mouth.''I said inches from her face, and fortunately the bell rang and I quickly made my way out of the hallway, just wanting to disappear.

The rest of the day was filled with more humiliation, thankfully Jason hadn't seen most of it because he had other classes than me and this school was huge.

I finally sat into the driver's seat of the car and noticed I had a note tucked under my windshield. I sighed and opened the door to get out. I reached for the letter, and grabbed the paper into my hands.

My hands shaked as I read it, but I teared it in half, not letting the burning tears escape my eyes.

When I got home, I rushed upstairs and without thinking twice, began searching for my blades. I found them and closed the bathroom door, not wanting anyone else to see or know about my not-so-little breakdown.

I shoved the blade into my wrists, were thousands of scars already stood, but I could care less. I watched the blood flow from the cut, but felt no pain. I just felt satisfaction. Tears streamed down my eyes as images of today appeared in my mind. Everyone humiliating me, calling me stuff I'd never been called, hurt too much.

I don't even know how many cuts I'd done by then, but I heard Jason call my name from downstairs. I didn't reply, just continued cutting and staring at the blood flow from the fresh cuts to the floor, making a small circle of blood appear there.

My vision was blurred due to my wetted eyes, all I could see was blood.

I heard the door to my room open, and footsteps come in. After that, the door to where I was opened as well, and a gasp filled the air.

''No, no, no baby no..''He took the blades from my hands and I cried out. I felt his hands wrap around me and rock me back and forth, whispering soothing things into my ear.

Jason's POV:

I was still in shock after what I'd seen. I never knew that Victoria self harmed, and knowing that the people in school made her do it made my whole body fill with a rage that could not be stopped by anything or anyone.

When Victoria finally fell asleep in my arms after covering her wrists with some gauze, I placed the blanket over her body and kissed her forehead before closing the door quietly.

I sighed and ran a hand over my face, feeling exhausted. I don't think I'd ever seen that much blood in my life. And seeing Victoria there, on the ground, her face full with tears and blood dripping from her wrists was enough to shock anyone.

I walked into my room and tried my best not to cry for her.

When morning approached, the first thing I did after getting dressed and brushing my teeth was knock on Victoria's door to make sure she was okay.

She opened the door, dressed in a pair of black skinny jeans with a longer top and a jean jacket. Her hair was flowing down naturally, and she looked beautiful as ever.

''Good morning babe,''I smiled, and she did too, but I saw through it.

''Morning.'' I wanted to kiss her so badly it almost hurt, but I knew I had to keep myself in hand because I didn't want to do anything she didn't in front of my family.

She stepped outside and motioned for me to go downstairs first. I did as told and took a seat in the breakfast table, trying desperately to make my hands stop from shaking under the table. I rubbed my palms against my jeans.

''Good morning sweetie. Did you sleep well?''My mom asked her after greeting me.

''Yes, thank you.''Victoria replied politely and took a seat next to me.

''What happened to your wrists?''My mother questioned stupidly, and Victoria's hand stopped the movement she was doing before my mom's question.

''I fell in gym.''She lied, and shot a quick glance at me before continuing to place breakfast onto her plate.

''Oh, that's unfortunate. Is everything going well in school, though?'' I don't know why the fuck my mom was asking so many shit questions, and I had to keep myself for making her shut up.

''Yes, thank you,''Victoria never forgot her manners in the most hurtful situations, which surprised me.

I gave her hand a small squeeze , which made her look up at me. She smiled and began eating, me following the process.

Victoria's POV:

The day at school was much better than the last one, nobody threw comments at me, it seemed as if they'd forgotten about the whole thing. Not that I was complaining, though.

When lunch finally approached, I sat down next to Jason and his friends. I had actually wanted to eat with Rachel, my new friend from english, but I didn't mind eating with Jason either. I invited Rachel to sit with us, so she seated herself next to me.

As we chatted with Jason and his friends, I felt a light tap against my shoulder and turned around. I was so happy and surprised at the same time that I jumped out of my seat and into my other best friend, Casey's arms. It was so good to finally be able to hug him after months.

''What are you doing here?!''I inquired happily.

''I wanted to visit you, and I'm not alone.''He had a huge grin planted on his face, and I knew he had something up his sleeve.

Hayley was walking towards us so I screeched her name and ran towards her. I hugged her , and was truly happy to see my best friend's again.

''Here, let me introduce you to my friends,''I dragged them both towards the lunch table, where everyone was watching our little reunion.

''These are my best friends, Casey and Hayley.''I grinned as I eyed them, eager to talk to them in private.

''Cas and Hay, this is my boyfriend Jason and his friends, and my other friend Rachel.'' They all smiled and Casey shook Jason's hand.

''Take care of my girl,''Casey smiled and Jason replied saying that he would.

''I've missed you guys so much!''I embraced them together, and they both laughed.

''We've missed you too. But um.. there's something else.''Hayley's tone of voice grew serious and we pulled apart.

''Laura's here,''Hayley whispered, mentioning my social worker. I glanced at the car parked in front of my school, and noticed Laura standing in front of it, a smile planted across her face. I sighed.
