Daughter Of The Moon

Serenity is an alpha’s daughter- and not only any alpha, but the Alpha King himself. That makes Serenity the most protected female shifter among all the shewolves, this was for a reason.

Being the she wolf born under the Alpha king she is the so called Daughter of the Moon, the shifter who has the power to call on other shifters, distance was not a question. It is in their blood to answer to her, the flesh and blood of their deity. It had been a century since there was one, and that didn't end good and her father and brother refuses to have a repeat of that.

But what if the fates have a different plan? Somewhere between the search for her mate, she is taken as a captive by the hunters who plans to use her powers. What will become of the pack and not to mention their kind?

14. The Crap Be The Glory

"What are you two on about?" Frank asked before popping a piece of French fries into his mouth.

"Nothing." We said in unison.

"Anyway," Anna butted in, "boys, this is Eric Johansen. Eric, the football team." She points and introduces the boys one by one, who raised their hand or nodded in response as if having a roll call in class.

"Hi." Eric says with a wave.

"So Eric..." James, a shifter, grins at me, "how's Summerhead treating you?"

I know, weird name for a school, but it's supposed to be the name of the founder of the town or something.

"Ok, I guess." He said, "It's very different from Stephen, but, I like it."

"Stephen?" Jeff, human, sat up. "Sir Stephen for boys? The one in Washington? That's where you use to study?"

"Yes." He said as he took a bite of his pizza.

"Wait, what's your name again?" Jeff asked.

We all gave Jeff a look, then I turned to Eric who shrugged. "Eric Johansen."

Jeff then laughs and gawked at Eric. "Oh, wow, no wonder you looked so familiar."

I raised a brow, along with my brother, Liam and Anna.

"What do you mean?" Liam asked.

"Damn, man..." Jeff says, then he raised his hand telling us to wait as he rummaged through his bag, as if wanting to go inside to find what he was looking for.

Personally, I wanted to shove him inside interested of what he was looking for. The he shouted  "Aha!" which you know what that means. He pulled out a photo and I heard Eric groaned. "Please, not here..."

"Boys, you are staring at the junior dirt bike champion of Washington." Jeff announced and raided the photo of him and Eric.

"Seriously?" the other boys start to snatch the photo and pass it around.

"Wow," I turned to him, "extreme sports enthusiast,"

"Let it go, Serenity." He shrugged.

"What?" I asked, wanting to tease him about it, "You can't be embarrassed about that, can you? I mean, junior champion. That must be such a plus points for the ladies."

He chuckled and dropped the pizza back on his plate, 'That's why I prefer going to an exclusive for boys school."

I scrunched up my nose, "That sounded so gay."

He laughed again and the photo finally reached Anna. She was sitting across from Eric, so she raised the photo up to Eric. She too scrunched her nose, "The banner behind you said his was taken this year, but you look so different now."

Eric nodded, "It was before I," he looked around, realizing that there were humans in the group, "Uhm, turned 18."

Before he reached his final shifting stage. I thought.

Boys shifted two years earlier than girls. Mama Ellena said this was so that when the male shifter is in his full grown state, he can fully protect his mate, who will just be shifting around the time. Yeah, we usually are mated to people with the same age, it just seems so easier to pair someone older meant there are grater chances of not getting mated at all.

I know, I know, the deal of the link and bond between mates draws them closer. Unfortunately, it isn't that successful. There are cases where in one of the pair is either already married or sometimes too far away. You see, mates are two people of different character, what one lacks, the other one fills. So let us say that one is outgoing, his or her mate would be  the quiet type,  on which prefer to live in his or her comfort zone. thus making their meeting half impossible as one is always moving about while one isn't

"But you moved here, does that mean you have to give up your title?" Carl, human, asks.

"Not really." He said. "I'll just be here for a couple of months. Then I'll have to go back with my family." This time he glanced at me with a smirk, making me shake my head, amused.

"Well, good luck with that." Liam says. "I'm guessing you'll be leaving earlier than you plan."

I turned and gave him a look, which he completely ignored.

I raised a brow. "Oh so, you're playing my game too, Liam?" I asked, he doesn't answer, "Fine, cringe in you lonesome self during art class."

I stood up, "C'mon Eric, you don't want to miss this class, it's the coolest." I said, "Today's paint your partner day."
