3. 3. Up Front

Lieza and I looked at each other one last time and gave the nod of confirmation that we both look our best. The guard grabs the solid shiny handle of the door and pulls it wide open. A gush of cool chilling air rushes into us. The room is sparkling, every where I look; immaculate. I lock eyes with Harry for just a second as he holds his fake smile in place, saying "Hi, everyone!" like he's a display or something. Everything about the situation made me quesy. Then, all at once, a heard of girls rushed ahead of us, leaving me in a crowd. My mind was clouded, but I suddenly felt angry. "No, we were first in line." I gathered up my big ego and pushed my way through. Making my victory steps to Harry, I slide through two more girls and there he was. I couldn't believe it. I was back in the front, staring into Harry's eyes, and they pierced into mine as well. The green ring of them blazed at me. Harry remained silent as we had this moment. It seemed like life was in slow motion but really only a couple of seconds went by before I realized a dark figure. From the shadows behind them, a man draws closer behind Harry. After Harry realized that I'm focussed on something else, Harry turns. My brain finally processes what is happening, like it caught up to time. A man, just 5 feet away from Harry was inching closer. His hands tangled around a gun, and a single finger on the trigger. Now I wished I wasn't up front anymore.
