Somewhere New (5sos)

I wrapped my arms around my parents one last time before I entered the plane.
"I love you guys." I said as I broke apart our embrace.
"Make sure you Skype us!" Mom yelled.
"And FaceTime!" Dad added.
"Have fun at the beach!!" Mom cheered.
"Bye Grace, have fun in uh, wherever your going." My sister 'encouraged' me as they disappeared in a crowd of people rushing to their flights.
Soon I found myself staring out the window of the airplane. I was now leaving my once perfect life, only to be dragged into god knows what.
Aulstralia, here I come.

Grace's POV

I finished putting away my last shirt on a plane white hanger. I through my duffle bags in the closet. Currently, I was in my apartment. No, I didn't go to the dorm rooms at my school, I don't like being forced to live with some random girl. It's too weird for me I don't know.

I was going to a boarding school in Aulstralia, only because I absolutely loved the beach and this was the one school that both had room, and was a good enough price (not including the massive amounts of money I spent on the plane).

I decided to take out my laptop and print out my schedule for Monday. Today is Friday, but I want to have a chance to roam the city, get to know it a little better. Everybody is supposed to be there by Monday, obviously, but in the dorms no earlier than 4pm Friday afternoon. It's 6pm on a Friday, so I'm pretty early.

I hooked my computer up to the black printer that lay on a table in the corner of the room. It's the only printer I could use so, why not?

I connected my computer to the printer using a cord, then pressed print on my laptop. The machine huffed and puffed until a brand new schedule was spit onto the floor next to my feet.

All of the sudden, I heard the door open, who could that be? I picked the paper up and set it on the table.

"Can I help you?" I politely asked the person at my door.

He was around my age, well he looked like it. He wore black vans, a white shirt with "5 seconds of summer" written in black, and skinny black jeans. He also had blonde hair and blue eyes.

"I uh, I just wanted to say hi to my new neighbor. I like right there," He said pointing to the room across the hall. He walked a little farther in then tripped over his own feet.

"You ok?!"

He laughed and hopped back to his feet, "Ya, I'm Luke by the way."

I walked up to him and shook his hand, "Nice to meet you Luke, I'm Grace. Grace Callahan."

"Nice to meet you as well Grace. I know this is an odd question, but, uh, where are you from?" He shyly questioned as he stared at his black vans.

I smiled, "Baltimore, in America. Lived in the city, but, you probably have no idea where Baltimore is.."

"Well, I don't know where a lot of places are, don't feel bad." He said, I guess trying to not make me feel bad.

I laughed at him, "It's alright, uh, Lake?"

"Luke, sorry."

He smiled, "So uh, what brought you to, here?"

"I'm going to that boarding school across the street." I explained.

"Oh," he smiled, "Really? I'm going to that one too."

"Oh, cool."

"Well, I need to get going to somewhere. I'll see you around?" Luke asked.

"Oh, ya! I hope so." I smiled. "Bye Luke."

"Bye Grace."

I watched him as he walked out the door and stepped into his own. I needed to get to know him better, I thought, something big will happen to him.
