Brought By Storm

COMPLETE: I went to the door and opened it to see a girl shivering, soaking wet. She was standing there in her sweater and jeans, shivering. I didn't understand why.

Fred Weasley meets and falls in love with Amaris. A strange girl who barely happens upon his home. Soon, he figures out that Amaris is a muggle. How will things go?

1. Brought In By Storm

I was sitting in the living room with my twin brother George that night.  It was truly storming outside.  There was thunder, lightning, and everything.  Ginny and Ron were in their rooms with Hermione and Harry and my dad was at the Ministry.  My mother was in the kitchen cooking.

Suddenly there was a loud knock on the door.  George looked at me and I looked at him.  We sat there, staring at each other until the knock came again.  I sighed and stood up to go get the door.

"Since you're too lazy to get it, I will." I laughed and rolled my eyes

I went to the door and opened it to see a girl shivering, soaking wet.  She was standing there in her sweater and jeans, shivering.  I didn't understand why.

"Did you lose your wand?" I asked

"My wand?" She repeated

"Yes," I replied

"I don't have a wand," She laughed, "That's absurd."

"No it isn't," I laughed, "I mean, you're soaked, you didn't even bother drying yourself with a spell.  The only other reason would be..."

"Fred!" George called, "Who is it?"

"George!  Come here, please." I called back warily

"Why?" He walked up and I leaned towards his ear

"She's a muggle," I whispered

"Oh," His eyes widened the slightest bit

"Yeah," I turned back to the girl standing in the doorway of the Burrow

"Can I come in?" She gave us a look

"Oh, yeah.  Stay here," I let her in then went to talk to my mother

"Hello, Fred dear.  What is it?" My mother smiled at me

"Mother, there is a girl at our door." I paused

"Did you let her in?" She gave me a look

"Yes, mother.  But, that's not why I came to talk to you.  I believe she is a muggle.  She came in soaking wet and I kind of asked if she lost her wand, but she said having a wand was absurd." I winced

"Oh," Her cooking and everything else in the kitchen froze, "Let me through,"

She walked right past me, completely focused on the task she had set herself to.  I followed her out to the living room where the girl was standing in the middle of the room, dripping onto the carpet and staring at George.

"George Weasley!" My mother shouted, "Why doesn't this girl have a blanket or warm clothes?"

And at this two of my other siblings scrambled down the stairs with their friends to see what was going on.  They crouched behind the railing, hiding from my mother's all seeing eyes.

"Ron!  Ginny!  Hermione!  Harry!  I know you are sitting at the bottom of the steps!  If you want to know what is going on get yourselves out here, right this instant!" My mother continued shouting, "I am so sorry, my dear.  Normally my children and their friends aren't this rude.  Normally, they would the most polite little darling you've ever seen.  But no, you have to deal with their nitwit sides."

She threw up her hands and glared at us.
