"No one else can hurt you like I can." I pushed back his shivering body that was yearning for me. I couldn't hear this anymore, how much I needed him. It was driving me mad. " Norie, why is that?"
"Answer me Norie."
"Norie!" I didn't want to say it. I wasn't even sure if the feelings I was experiencing were mine to experience. I was in a state in which I had no control over. After seeing Harry after 4 years I didn't know what to think. "Norie?"
"Because I love you!" I sighed.

2. Chapter Two

I drummed my fingers on the steering wheel practically holding my breath. I couldn't find anything to say that wouldn't sound hurtful or clingy and directed to Harry. I could feel his gaze on me through the rear-view mirror.

"Norie, where are you staying these days." Louis says.

"Um, I'm staying at a dorm."

"Mmm, college girls." Harry mumbles from the backseat and it takes everything I have to not turn around and smack his right across his face. I pull into the dorm parking lot and kill the engine.

"I stay with another girl so behave." I direct that to Harry entirely and maybe a little towards Louis but not really. They both laugh and we exit the car grabbing their bags. Louis makes a big deal on how girls shouldn't have to carry bag and how chivalry is dead.

"Louis that is kind of sexist." I laugh and open the door to my small two room dorm.

"Think what you may." I direct him to the empty bed and have him throw his things down before he disappears into the bathroom leaving me and Harry alone in silence.

"I need to talk to you." He says. I shake my head and turn from him fixing my bed.

"No you don't."

"Norie, don't be so stubborn."

"I am not going to let you being here- ruin my time."

"I'm not trying to ruin your time. I came back for you, you know." I can tell he was lying, he doens't want me he never wanted me I was only a pawn for his entertainment. I know that now.

"You should find a different place to stay. You can't be here."

He smirks and sits down on my bed. "We both know that I'm staying here. As long as you still have feelings for me."

"I don't."

"Harry, let's leave her to get ready." Louis says emerging from the bathroom, taking his phone from his ear. "Rentals here."

"You don't have to go." He does, I think to myself.

"i think we'll give you a few moments to yourself." He smiles.

"Okay,"I sigh. I didn't want Louis to be leaving, we only have three days to spend with each other and he just got here! Although I can tell that he wants to relieve the tension between me and Harry. That's what he does because he's a good person.

Louis gives me a hug and squeezes me tight, lifting me from the floor. When he finally puts me down I'm pretty sure I have a bruise constricting around me.

"I'll see you in a hour. I'll try to get a hotel."

"You don't have to do that."

"Yeah, I think I do." I scrunch my nose as he pats my head again and brings me in for another hug. I follow them to the door , holding it open so I can get a few more waves and good-byes form Lou.

"Bye." Harry says. His smiling makes sick. how could he think everything is fine and kittens and rainbows. How could he have forgotten? I kick the door close with my feet and throw myself down on my bed which smell to much like Harry even from him just sitting on the edge. Mint and cigarettes.

"Get out!" I screamed pushing him toward the door.

"Norie, stop!" He growled grabbing at my wrist.

"Don't touch me."

"Fine!" He screamed throwing my dresser to the floor. "You don't want listen, then fine."

"I hate you!" I sobbed.

"Hate me then but know that I did what I did for your own good!"

"You're so selfish!" The anger coursed through his eyes as I watched his fist connect with the white plastered walls. "What are you doing!"

"I can't handle you! You're just-" He ran his fingers through his sweaty curls. I didn't need an explanation anymore about what he did or why he did it. I was done with him and he must of been down with me because the last thing I heard was.

"You are nothing to me. I used you." He chuckled.

"Shut up."

"I did. Is that what you want to hear?"

"Harry, shut up, stop."

"You're nothing to me." And he was gone.

I pulled my dress down, trying to have it at least reach my knee or further than where is was tiding up at. It was more of a cocktail dress than anything I would wear . I got it for a gift a few year ago for my birthday but I never wore it.

I can't stop gawking at how short it it,if I decided to bend down I would expose all of my glory. Louis said that he would be here 20 minutes ago, which I'm proud of because I spent my hour screaming and ranting and in a state of mental collapse. I didn't need Harry to be here! He came here to torture me and I know it!

There's a knock on the door a few moments later.

"Come in." I scream pushing diamond studs into my ears.

"Wow-look at you." Louis compliments.  "That dress is short even for you."

"I know," I snap. "It's the only thing I own that doesn't ring ' I only bought this to impress you know who." Louis walks in completely absent of Harry's presence "Where's Harry?"

"He's at the docks?" I squint.

"You're have your party at the docks?" The docks is where all the college kids go to throw raves. It's not my particular cup of coffee.

"Oh, we'll have fun."

"I know but-"

"Grab the rest of your dress and let's go." I ignore his insult and fetch a pair of black leggins from my closet and shove them in my bag.

"Come on." I direct him to the door and lock it before following him outside.

A blue Camry is parked next to my Jeep. He clicks a button on his key chain and the car chirps and the head lights flash.

"Can I please ask you to try to refrain from ripping Harry's throat apart? Just tonight?"

"I'm perfectly capable of that. Maybe he should go back home." He shakes his head.

"He's my friend, Norie. You guys were friends at one point."

"We were never friends."

"I had a crush on him, he used me, that was it. No friendship." He sighs and pulls onto a dirt road.

"You have to forgive him  sometime in your life." I watch as the full impact of the docks hits me. Cars are lined up inches from each other. Too many people too even think about breathing. I didn't even think these many people would show or even went to Phoenix University but then again everyone crashes parties in Phoenix.

"I don't want to discuss this on your birthday." I decide.

"Okay we won't just have fun." He says turning off the engine. That won't be hard.

Louis ditches me a few minutes in to go rekindle a broken bond with his ex so I find myself standing over 6 empty shot glasses and the burning sensation rushing down my throat.

"You might want to slow done," A voice says stepping to my side. I look up to bright blue eyes and sun bleached wavy hair. I can't believe I haven't seen him around Phoenix U, he's gorgeous.

"Someone may want to take advantage of such a beautiful girl-like you." His eyes travel down the length of my body and his eyes connect with mine again. "I'm Alex."

"Norie." He smiles. "Why are you all alone, Norie?" I shrug.

"I'm not- Just alone for the moment."

"Even that's too long." I laugh. Having someone hitting on me is such a foreign thing. It's not everyday that a gorgeous college guy says more than 5 words to me besides "Hey, did you get 13?" My cheeks flush and I grab another shot glass and put it to my mouth.

"Have you always been a compulsive drinker?"

"No, I usually don't drink.-and its not compulsive."

"Don't get so defensive, I was just - Styles?" I turn to where his eyes have now focused on and see a fuming Harry.

"You're back in town." He chuckles. "It's nice to see you after-how long has it been?"

"3 years." He says through clenched teeth.

"3 years. That long. Still in the business?"

"No." Alex grins.

"Well just give me call. I'm sure the boys would love to see you again. Especially Zayn I know you two left on bad terms."

"Yeah, I'll uh- give you a call."

"Bye, Norie." He says and leans down, kissing my cheek. He walks away flicking a lighter out of his pocket. I lean down to grab another shot and Harry snatched it from me making it splash everywhere.

"What the hell?" I scream.

"Why are you talking to Alex?"

"Harry shove a sock in it. I just met the guy."

"Yeah and that's that last time." He sits the next shot glass I grab down.

"Would you stop that, Daddy." I mimic.

"I'm serious, Norie."

"You're going to be here for 3 days, okay. Ater that how are you going to know if I talk to him" I take the shot he sat down and put it to my lips but Harry throws it to the floor.

"Stop drinking your making yourself a target."

"I have to drink when your around because you're a horrible person-or do you not remember?"

"Norie." He growls.

"I will drink when and how much I want to drink. I will talk to who I want and when you're gone in three days I will have forgotten about you again." I know that half of what is spilling out of my mouth is from the 7 shots of hard liquor I have just consumed but it feels good. I grab another glass and put it to my mouth smiling.

"Whatever." He frowns and walks past me . I angrily down another and set out to find Lou.
