9. Chapter Nine

Charlie's POV

This, an attractive guy walking me home from work and paying for coffee, was something I had never experienced before. I had always been one of the guys and therefore; no one payed for my coffee.

As we were walking towards my apartment we chit-chatted about small stuff until Ashton proposed a game I was not prepared for.

"Wanna play twenty questions?" He asked and looked at me with those brown eyes. I had a war inside my head; I didn't like to tell people too much about me, and especially people I had just met. You could say that I was kind of an introvert; I liked watching people and listening to them talk, watching their movements and the gleam in their eyes as they talked about something they were passionate about. I wasn't good at spilling stuff about myself.

But hey, how many personal questions could he ask?

After debating with myself in my head I finally agreed.

"Yeah, sure. You first?" I asked and looked up at him. He was roughly two heads taller than me.

"Hmmm..." He started and placed his fingers on his chin. "Your perfect idea of a date?" He then asked.

"Uhm, I don't know." I started. Should I say that I've never really had one or just go with the flow and pretend I had? I found it very embarrassing that I had never been on a date.

After a while of thought I decided to leave it there hoping he would let it go.

"What do you mean? You must have had some bad dates in your life and a vision of what would be perfect." He then said and stopped in his tracks. I turned around and exhaled deeply.

"To be honest, I've never been on a date." I said and looked down at my feet feeling the heat starting up in my cheeks.

"Really?" He asked dumbfounded.

"Yeah... I know it's lame and embarrassing but... I don't know. It just hasn't happened." I finally dared myself to look up at him and he just stood there looking at me with those eyes. I was surprised that he didn't look like he was about to start laughing.

And then he smiled at me. I turned around and started walking slowly towards my apartment.
