18. Loki's Return

"Well, well, well... What have we here? Two young girls stranded in a secret under ground bunker with a devistatingly handsome, infuriatingly intelligent and crazy superior species." I heard the laugh and the silky smooth, almost intoxicating voice of Loki.

"Run, Viccie." I hissed.

I froze, mind whirling. I had put Viccie in danger, taken her out of said danger, and then played right into my stalker's hand. I practically gave him the upper had when I walked out without checking the halls first. I needed a plan, a way to get my best friend out of here and harm's way.

So, I did the only logical thing. I called upon my powers and readied myself to fight Loki.

"Oh, really? You're going to face off against me? Against your leader? Your king?" Loki asked sarcastically, obviously fooled by my charade as a Jotun as  had chosen my ice powers instead of my fire ones to see how far I could get with them against him.

"No. I'm going to face off against a pompous, arrogant, creepy stalker!" I roared, turning around and shooting an ice throwing star at him, lodging it into his forearm.

"Oh, its you, Love." he said, a  soft smile spreading across his face when he saw who it was.

I growled, disgusted with him. "I am NOT YOUR LOVE'!!" I shrieked in anger, glaring at him.

"Oh...but you are. You may not remember it just yet, but, beleive me, Mae, you will soon remember." Loki said just before he grabbed my shoulders, pulled me roughly to him, and kissed me roughly on the lips.

I yanked myself away from him and growled, "WHO THE HECK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?!" and then I slapped him across the face with a force I wasn't aware I could make.

He staggared backwards, caught off gaurd by my reaction.

But, just as I had touched him again, I began to see flashes of what seemed like memories. But memories of what?

Me, a young Loki and Thor were running around on Asgard. Loki kept tricking Thor with his mischevous magic, making me laugh hard.

An older looking Loki and I were sitting outside down by the ocean. My feet continued to slowly slip into the clear and refreshing water. I slowly stood up, moving away from Loki and walked gracefully into the ocean, my long tunic dress soaking up the fothy salt water as I walked. "Mae? What are you doing?" Loki asked me. "Come, Loki! Come into the ocean!" I responded, twirling around faster and faster. As I picked up speed, my feet started to tangle together and I couldn't rememner which one was which. So, I fell into the water and off the sandbelt, into deep water without having any time to prepare myself. I was trying to fight the water, the waves, and breathe all at the same time. I ended up breathing in some salt water. I screamed, trying to force it all out, but ridding myself of any air I had left in my body. I was a of a sudden being pulled up by my shoulders, and as we hit the surface, I gasped, heaving the wonderful thing known as air into my body. "Its okay, Mae. Its all alright." I clapsed into his embrace and muttered a thanks.

I was walking slowly down an aisle, my arms were up by my sides, a wrap covering them and I was wearing a pearl gold dress with no shoes. I had henna up and down my arms and feet. My knee length long red hair was half plated and jewels were threaded throughout it. At the end of the aisle, Thor stood behind Loki with a look of pride and joy on his face. I looked at Loki and smiled. This was the day. The final day of our journey as single people. The final moments as bachelor and bachelorette. Today, I marry the love of my life. My best friend in the whole world, the man that loves me more than anyone else in the whole nin realms. Loki Odinson.

End of Flashings

"No! That can't...can't be possible! I am human! I'm only eighteen years old! There is no...way." I muttered, looking down at my hands, seeing my powers fluctuating from ice to fire and back again over and over.

"I told you." Loki said, coming up in front of me and taking my hands in his. It felt normal. Relaxing. Calmling. Reassuring.

I ripped my hands from his grasp and turned away from him, ready to run away from it all. To follow Viccie out of this hallway. But, when I turned around, she wasn't there. She'd taken my advice and run for it.

My mind was once again whirling, trying to make sense of everything. I had seen the birth tape that Daddy had made of Mom and I. I was trying my hardest to understand. And then, he kissed me again.

And it felt so right. So normal. Just like our first kiss on our wedding day had felt. Amazing.

"My love." I whispered against his lips.

"And mine." He whispered back, smiling down at me.
