The heartthrob that doesn't know he's a heartthrob. The guy that never leaves the fine arts hall. The christian that goes to church three times a week. The senior with the burning blue eyes. He's a virgin that has me under a spell. And while I'm busy trying to steal his virginity, he's stealing my heart.
He's Bradley.

7. Seven

"I hope you're ready for tomorrow night." Pause. "I'd be lying if I said I haven't been looking forward to it all week."

"I think I'm ready." I giggled, shivering as his chuckle echoed mine. I thought of his blue eyes as I spoke into the phone. "You know, I've never been on a real date before..."

"YOU? Have never been on a date before?"

"Nope, Not once."

"Ooh I must be special then."

"Are you going on a date?"

"Jesus, Nicky..." I jolted. "You scared me." he shrugged, looking at me in the mirror. I had just shrugged on a blush colored dress, and was now fixing my hair.

"Are you?" he hopped on the bathroom counter. "Are you going out with a boy?"

"Yes." I curled the last piece of hair perfectly, and applied just enough hairspray. My little brother coughed, and I giggled.

"Can I meet him?"

"Nick, I don't know."

"Please, I promise I won't scare him away! I just want to exchange a word or two." He acted all tough, puffing his chest out and scrunching his eye brows. "You've never had a boyfriend before." Geez, for a 8 year old boy he talks a lot.

"He's not my boyfriend." I smirked, shoving the curling iron back under the cabinet. I sprayed my entire being with perfume, making him gag again. "Come on." I pulled him off the counter and he followed me to the kitchen, where Aunt Macy was reading a book at the table.

"Oh, baby you look beautiful." She hugged me, squeezing me tight. "But your dress is just a tad revealing." She tried to pull it down, a failed attempt. "You have fun, okay? You seem to really like this boy."

"I guess. Not really. We're just hanging out."

"Hmm, just hanging out... is that why he's standing out in front with a bundle of roses?" I snapped my head, looking out the window to see him. He was wearing nice pants, and his button down olive shirt was tucked in neatly. I smiled, trying not to gasp with excitement. Macy laughed, tapping my butt. "Go. He's waiting!" I jogged to the door, grabbing my grey peak coat and my bag.

"Good evening, Beautiful."

"What is this?" I looked at him, bewildered.

"For you." He handed me the bouquet. "I want your first date to be amazing."

"It would've been perfectly fine if you had just taken me to a movie."

"No... You deserve something better." He opened the door to his truck.

"WAIT!" Nicholas came running, and I groaned. "I want to meet'm!" I sighed, and Bradley smiled, kneeling down to his height. "My name is Nicholas. I'm Lila's only brother. And I sure hope you're gonna take care of her tonight." he crossed his arms, face scrunched and words determined.

"Well, it's very nice to meet you, Nicholas. I can assure you that I will definitely take care of your big sister tonight. I like that you're very protective."

"I'm not afraid to fight, you know."

"Oh my god, Nicky!" I slapped my face with my hands.

"No, it's okay." he chuckled. "I'm protective of my sisters too. You're a cool little Dude, Nick."

"Go inside now, please. It's cold." I ruffled his hair, avoiding eye contact with Brad as I forced myself up into his truck. he closed the door behind me.

He brought me to a classy restaurant, a place I've never seen before. "My dad told me that he'd pay for the dinner if he got to meet you tonight." Brad chuckled, pulling out a chair for me. "Its our first date and he's already planning our wedding." I laughed, trying not to reveal the awkwardness that I felt.

"You look nice." I smiled lightly, and took a quick sip of my water.

"I could say the same to you, but it would be an understatement." I rolled my eyes, showing my teeth again with a shake of my head. "Nicholas loves you." he stated.

"I know, maybe a little bit too much." I chuckled. "But I'd take bullets for that boy."

"That's nice. You seem real close."

"Yeah our mom left us a while ago. So I guess he gave up a little bit. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only person in this world that he actually trusts."

"What about your dad?"

"Oh he died after Nick was born." I stared down at the white napkin resting beneath my wrist.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable."

"Thank you, but its okay. I wasn't too close to him." I lied, and took the first fork full of salad. The music guiding our conversation was awful, some kind of piccolo symphony. The strangest thing was, that Bradley spoke my thoughts aloud.

"This music is crap." He laughed, wiping the corner of his mouth with his thumb. Since I'd taken off my jacket, I was shivering. "This salad is crap too." I laughed this time, a bit too loud, and I covered my mouth. 'I bet the water came from the sink. Unacceptable." He quietly mocked the upper class people around us, making me giggle. "Wanna get out of here?" He asked, with a smirk on his face. I nodded, biting my lip. He left a small wad of cash on the table and escorted me out the door.

I checked my phone.

Gia: Gettin lucky yet?

Me: No its not gonna happen tonight.

Gia: You have got to be the queen of hard to get. Just get in his pants already!

I didn't respond.

"You ready?" I snapped my head up and looked into his blue eyes. He was waiting for me to get in the car.

"Oh, yeah. Thank you." I hauled in, and gripped his hand before he shut the door. I planted a kiss on his cheek, and all he could do was blush.

When he made his way round to his side, he started the trucks engine. Then he leaned over, catching me off guard. My neck was caught in his right hand and my lips were stuck to his. I quickly decided to do a move that Gia had taught me months ago. She'd done it on Kyra and made me do it on her. I'd done it to guys many times, and it works like a charm. I swooped my tongue in and around the bottom of his, using my lips to suck at the perfect pace. It all happened within just a few seconds, and I let out the tiniest whimper when I pulled away. He was frozen with his eyes closed. And I smiled. "I think you missed my mouth the first time." he joked, licking his pink lips.

"That was smooth, Bradley." I faced forward and he took my hand in his.

"I love how you call me that." he hummed. "The only person who ever called me that was my grandma. Everyone just calls me Brad." he smiled to himself, and I nodded because I knew.  "And I have a feeling that if anyone else called me by my full name, I wouldn't like it."

I disconnected my hand from his and placed it in his hair. "I must be special, then." I whispered.

We ended up stuffing our faces with mcDonald's in an empty parking lot. We sat in the back, only the street lamps were allowing me to see his face. We threw fries at each other and shared our milkshakes. I'd taken off my shoes and he unbuttoned his shirt just enough to reveal his undershirt. We tossed our trash beside us, and I got closer to him. He gained the courage to take me by the waist, and I straddled him, my hair falling in front of my face. I waited for him to kiss me, but he hesitated for too long, so I went for it. My body was shaking, in a nervous way as I pressed my mouth to his. He squeezed my sides as my forehead leaned against his. His lips were salty from our meal, and the back of his neck was clammy. His phone started ringing from inside of the truck, but we ignored it. It rang again. "Do you want to get that?" I pulled away and shoved some hair behind my ear, and I felt a rain drop on my face. He shook his head, smiling and holding my body close again. He sucked on my bottom lip as the rain started falling. His phone rang once again, and we were getting all wet. My entire body was shivering, but I didn't want to stop kissing him. It was a different world, being with him.

Soon the rain drowned out the sound of his phone, and he was the strong one to stop the session. "I know for a fact that you are freezing, wanna go?" I shook my head no as my lips trembled, my hair dripping. He still smiled, and I got off of him. He helped me down and we parted ways.

"Jesus, I don't think I've ever been this cold before." my teeth were loud and my skin was pruned.

"Don't worry, we're almost there. My parents are expecting us." I'd forgotten about that.

"Bradley, I can't meet them like this. "

"Sure you can. They'll still love you."

"Can't you just take me home? I'll meet them another time." By then we were pulling into a community of houses.

"Too late." he said cheekily. I rolled my eyes and started biting the nail on my wrinkly thumb. I looked at the clock on the radio that read 10:01. My curfew is eleven.

Hopefully this goes well.
