How It All Began

Lauren was just a normal girl who lived in a normal city. Then, one day her mom entered her into this website contest to get One Direction tickets in Los Angeles.
I know what you are thinking.
"UGH, really another one of these stories!" But I am asking if you could please read it and give me feedback? No one ever said she won them. No ever said she lost them.

10. Poster-Card Thing

A/N- Hellooooo everyone! I am so so so sorry I haven't updated in forever! I was on winter break (and still am because of snow days) which you probably think I would have more time but I really don't. I don't know why.

So I think this is a long chapter! Hopefully! But after this I promise things are going to start to get really interesting! If you what I mean! On that note, I wondering if I could try to get 30 favs or likes (whatever they're called) by the end of January? I'm not asking a lot but I was just wondering......... ANYWAYS here is the next chapter!

Chapter 10-Poster-Card Thing

Lauren's POV

"OH, OH, I KNOW WE SHOULD GET GLOW STICKS," Lexie exclaimed in the middle of the store known as Michael's.

"Damn, quiet down," I reply, covering her mouth.

"Sorry, I can't help my loudness!" She casually shrugged.

I looked down the aisle of all the craft supplies. We got two things of poster boards, check.

Markers, check

Tape, check

Scissors, check

Ah, I guess glow sticks will be fun.

"Lexie, grab a couple packs of glow sticks and maybe some glitter thingys," I yell down the aisle to her.

"Glitter thingys, WHAT THE HELL IS A GLITTER THINGY?" She questioned, searching through the rows of supplies.

"You know it's...." I start, then gave up and walked down there myself.

After we hopefully got all the supplies we needed, we went to go check out. Man, we got a lot of stuff!

"That will be $26.83," the lady stated.

I gave her the money in cash and watched her put the supplies into bags. She handed them both to Lexie and I. Of course, I took the lighter one just to see Lexie complain.

Not even two seconds out of the store, Lexie already started to complain, "I'm hungry! Can we go get breakfast?"

I looked over at her, then replied, "Yes, little child. We will go get you food to put in your tummy."

She started to fake cry as we were putting the bags away.

"Mama, feed me. Please,"

"Ok shut up," I say while giggling, "Let's go find a Bread Co or something."

She smiled and turned on the radio. And guess what song came on? Ding, ding, ding, Best Song Ever by One Direction....

Let's just say I think people stared at us weirdly, we almost broke the car stereo, and we almost broke each other's ears, we screamed so loud.

"Yumm, this is good," Lexie exclaimed, eating her blueberry muffin.

"Ok, is that better now, Baby Lexie?" I question in a baby voice.

She nodded her head while taking another big bit out of her muffin.

"So now that I have food," she said, "we should start to plan out the poster."

I sat there, thinking for a minute or two before replying, "Well, I think it should be kind of like a card where you flip it open."

"Ok," she agreed, then suddenly blurted out, "oh, I know what it should say!"

"It should say, We missed you in Pennsylvania, So we brought Pennsylvania to you. Then, we can have pictures of the beach and certain "historical" places."

I thought over it for a minute, then nodded my head in agreement, "I like it!"

"Ok, let's get back to the hotel and start to work on it."

"Lets go," I reply, standing up.

Lexie's POV

"Let's tape both the cardboard pieces together, so we can have one big card," I hear Lauren say.

"Ok," I reply, getting the tape out, "On the front it should say, We missed you in Pennsylvania, then you should open it and it should finish, So we brought Pennsylania to you"

"Ok," she stated, starting to write the words with a black sharpie.

We live in Pennsylvania which is on the east coast of the United States. I know what your thinking. You went from one coast to another just to go to a concert? Yeah, pretty much. One Direction rarely ever came to Pennsylvania except only one time where they did come and unfortunately we couldn't go. I know, what a shame.

So, we have to make a "big" statement to see if they could at least notice us.

Yeah right.

While Lauren was finishing up the writing piece of it, I decided to look on the internet with my laptop I brought with me for "historical" places in Pennsylvania such as famous amusement known as Kennywood Park, or maybe pictures of the beach? Anything that could really capture their attentions.

After I found all the pictures, I copied and pasted it onto Microsoft Word. When I was through looking at all of them, something crossed my mind that I just realized.

How are we going to print these photos?

"Hey, Lauren," I call out, seeing she is almost done, "I finished finding the pictures, but I just realized we have a little bit of a problem."

"Oh, let me see," she enthusiastically exclaimed while standing up and walking over to me.

I scrolled down for her to see all of the pictures and noticed her smiling and nodding her head.

"So, what's wrong with it?"

I pause a moment before sharing the news I know she doesn't want to hear,

Her smile quickly faded while she yelled, "OH, SHIT!"

We both stood up and started pacing around the room. Clearly, we didn't do all of this just to give up now.

Suddenly, I got an idea.

"LAUREN," I exclaim, clearly surprising her, "why don't we go down to the lobby and ask somebody if they can help us?"

"THATS A GREAT IDEA!" She replied, grabbing her shoes and putting them on her feet.

I started walking toward the door with my laptop and flash drive which I saved the pictures onto, when I noticed Lauren holding something in her hand.

The room key.

Oops, that would have been bad if we forgot that.

Giggling and laughing all the way down the elevator ride, as soon as the doors opened we walked straight toward the front desk lady.

"Hello, ladies," the woman started, "How may I help you? Everything alright with your room?"

"Yes, ma'am, " I hear Lauren reply, "everything is perfectly fine. We were just wondering if you could help us with a small favor?"

The lady's expression didn't change. She is probably used to people asking for favors.

"And what would that be?"

I pause a moment before speaking up, "We need to print these photos off my laptop and I have no clue how to do that. I was wondering if you could print them out for us?"

She hesitated slightly before finally understanding our dilemma and questioned, "By any chance, do you have a flash drive or jump drive you saved it on and I could use that to print from one of our computers.

"Oh, I actually I do," I exclaim, feeling relived.

"That's wonderful," she said, "Just tell me what the document is called, and I got everything handled.

"L.A. Pictures," I simply state.

She smiled and nodded her head before leaving to pretty much save our lives.

"Gah, I hope this works," I hear Lauren sigh.

There's something to brighten your day up when your upset.

Moments later, the front desk lady walked back with a handful of pictures in her hand.

"Here you go, ladies."

"Thank you so much. We really appreciate it," we say grabbing the pictures.

So, now we have the pictures to finish the card that will be AMAZINGLY AWESOME!

We go to the concert tomorrow and pretty much die. Hold our poster thing up and scream our lungs out. It's going to be so much fun and nothing too exciting will happen.

Boy, was I WRONG!
