Holding On

A poem for the contest.

1. Holding On

I stand alone,

Frozen and cold.

Even when you're next to me,

I still feel lonely.

Winter time is not for love,

With snowy air surrounding us from above.

You try to keep me with you,

And I lean up to kiss you.

But I guess I'm not that strong.

Because I can't keep holding on.

I fall from Earth,

Landing in the dirt.

With no one to catch me,

Because I'm not that easy.

Once again I'm all alone,

With no one to hold.

And I guess that's how life goes,

Esspecially in the cold.

Nobody can be that strong,

Because nobody is holding on.
