3. My name is...

Chapter 2

I woke up early the next day, the failure of yesterday's research still hanging over my head. I don't know why it was affecting me so much, usually I didn't let the difficulties of being connected to all four elements bother me. Usually I was upbeat about it all, but not today. However I knew what I needed, I needed to go shopping. Pulling myself out of bed. I let Muse blare out of my speakers whilst I walked towards the mirror. Once again I washed my face, connecting with water to make my life easier. I decided to go all out on make-up today, after all who knows how many cute boys would be out there today? I applied foundation, to make my skin slightly more tanned, as well as dark blue eyeshadow. After putting on some eyeliner, mascara, blush and light pink lipstick I was done. Pulling on a white lacey top and some jeans, I teased the tangles out of my hair once again before I tied my hair into a side plait and looked in the mirror. I'm quite confident with my looks so I knew I looked pretty for me, obviously I was no Kaya Scodelario but I was satisfied. Picking up my phone I considered asking Mina to come with me, but decided against it, she always chides me on how much I spend. Not having to worry about being late, I take the time to cook myself some breakfast. I decide on bacon and have it happily sizzling away in no time. My mother comes down the stairs, probably awoken by the smell of bacon. "Good morning darling, you look nice today, are you going out?" She asked. "Yup. If that's ok with you." I replied. "Of course, as long as your back by 4 o'clock because Prim is coming round then" she said sternly. I inwardly groan. Prim. My annoying little cousin, she's only 12 but acts as if she's 20. She's always bossing me around even though I'm 4 years older then her. If I refuse to do what she tells me she runs to her mum, Aunt Vivienne and accuses me of 'bullying' her, and as in Vivienne's eyes Prim can do no wrong, I often get severely told off for it. "Yes, mum" I finally return and then grab my bag and get out of the house as quickly as I can, wanting to have as much time shopping as possible before that little monster arrives.

As I walked down my street I get a massive pang of loneliness ache through my heart. "It's never usually this bad" I mumbled to myself. I started jogging trying to outrun this horrible pain, faster and faster until I was full out sprinting. Step by step the pain was lessening until BAM! I collided with someone. I looked up HE had fiery red hair, a complexion similar to Mina's and deep brown eyes filled with concern. He was gorgeous. I was so shocked I didn't even notice the pangs of loneliness had disappeared from my heart. He started to speak "Mi-Mianhaeyo, oh I mean I'm sorry." He said in the cutest accent which I recognised to be as Korean "It's fine, it was completely my fault anyway." I replied. He smiled at me, it was the most beautiful smile that I had ever seen. I grinned my lopsided grin back, and he started to walk away. Immediately the loneliness came back. "W-wait, Don't go." I called after him. He spun around and stated at me quizzically "Why?" He questioned. "Let me buy you a coffee to make up for it." I said and then immediately mentally slapped myself for being so obvious. "Sure" he replied, and smiled at me again. "So what's your name?" I asked. "My name is Taemin, but you can call me Tae, and I'm sorry if my English is bad but I am originally from Korea, anyway what's your name?" He replied. Taemin. So that's his name, I like it. "My name is Emmalie, Em for short, and I have no excuse if my English is bad." I joked. Taemin laughed, I'm glad he did as I know I'm not the funniest person in the world. Then he did something which surprised me, he grabbed my hand. I blushed profusely but didn't let go. Taemin intrigued me, and I wanted to know more about him. "So what element are you connected to?" I asked. "Well, my favoured element is fire bu-"he started. "Wait, did you just say preferred?" I asked. "Yes... Why does that matter?" He questioned. My mind started spinning and yet something clicked, didn't he say he was from Korea? Then does that mean that he's my counterpart. But if that were true then we're meant to hate each other so much that we feel the need to kill the other. Suddenly an old phrase appeared in my head: Opposites attract. Does that mean we're destined to fall in love.... Woah slow down there Emmalie, your only 16. "Em?" Tae's sweet voice brought me back to reality. "Sorry Tae... It's just that we're both connected to four elements."

Hey guys Skye here, I just want to say I'm sorry the second half of this chapter is horrible but it's late and I'm tired, so I will probably revisit this in the future. And yes this is Taemin from SHINee but SHINee doesn't exist in this book so.... Yeah. I hope your enjoying this. :). Also I kinda need some help basically I don't like the idea of them healing each other anymore I want something interesting to happen, and although I have some vague ideas they are only temporary (I changed the Blurb to fit the idea) as I'm not sure of it, could you check the blurb and tell me what you think. If you like it great If you don't I would love it if you could tell me in what way you want this story to go. Just comment your ideas and then I will add you to the book (provided you don't change anything that's already been written, without my permission) Anyway thanks for reading and GOODBYE.
