Ghalia is a world filled with mysteries shrouded in darkness and magic hidden in the forests. Man divided the world up between three great nations: Marin, Lafelion, Rourik. Although they are in peace now, evil stirs within the dark corners of the world again. Now the race to stay alive is upon them; their only hope left lies in the hands of the Arklings.

4. Chapter 3

Back and forth, I’m tossed back and forth like a ship on choppy waters. The swelling migraine in my head pulsates to the rhythm. Slowly, my eyelids part the darkness. The sudden light blinds me momentarily, causing me to flinch as the pain spikes in my head. My arms tried to move, in an attempt to cover my eyes, but they feel heavy, almost as if they were made of metal. As for my eyes, they begin to adjust to the light, allowing me to focus on my arms. I was right about the metal; a thick band of it had been wrapped around my wrists, keeping them together despite the movement. Up and down, my body jounced for a moment before I realized I had been slung over the side of a horse. Now that I’d started taking in my surroundings, the picture became clear. My body was draped over a horse and we were on our way somewhere. Although the pace might have only been a canter, it felt fast from where I was. The perpetual motion caused my stomach to roil and I felt my body clench. Bad mistake, when my body moved the wounds on my back reawakened their numb pain. It joined with the throbbing in my head and the rhythm of the horse, causing my whole body to radiate sore, aching pain. Amongst all this a thought occurred to me, this is my first time on a horse.
