4. New deal

Walking into the break room, I noticed that Elle was staring at me from the coffee maker. I looking inside one of the tiny, wooden cupboards and notice a packet of popcorn. I quickly unwrap the plastic covering, and toss it into the microwave for 2 minutes. I can feel her warm eyes on me, so I quickly flip around, and place my hands behind me on the solid, granite countertop.

"What's up, Elle? Something wrong?" She shook her head, and began smiling, a beam of light radiating inside of her. I felt confused for a moment, then I suddenly realized.

"A famous boy bander likes you! Why aren't you taking it seriously?!" She was squealing with joy. I don't think I've ever seen a business woman so excited in my life. I laugh nervously, and give her a side hug. Instead, she throws her hands up in the air above us, and pulls me into a giant bear hug. Her nicely-sized chest was crushing my face, and I couldn't breathe. Then, she released me, and puffed with relief. Her pearly whites were all flash with a very gritty grin. She was more happy about this than I was. I held my hands up in defense, knowing she was a hunger Lioness, and was about to flood me with tips, and guides.

"Look, Elle. I don't want to be involved with anyone famous. Him and I can be friends, but that's it. I never even liked One Direction in the first place." She gasped, appalled by my words. I rolled my eyes slightly, and continued where I left off.

"I don't want to be famous. I don't want attention, or anything of that nature. They are all very sweet, and I'd love to be friends with them! But, that's it. Don't try and set me up. Promise?" I held out my hand, waiting for her to agree. She hesitated for a moment, then she finally gave in, and shook my hand firmly. I looked up into her beautiful eyes, that were roaring with life. She nodded slightly, her hair bobbing at the sides of her chin. I pursed my lips, and turned around. I pushed the end button, grabbed my snack, and went into the conference room.

People came into the room here and there, but I remained alone inside the tiny suite. I sipped my Mocha Latte from earlier today, popped kernels inside my mouth, and browsed 'Facebook'. Eventually, the 'Blonde' boy from earlier came inside the room, slowly approaching me until I looked up at him. He was adorable; his chin perfectly shaped, his eyes a vibrant sky blue, a few shades lighter than mine, and his suit clung nicely to his body. His hair was one of the first things I noticed, all swung up into a wind-blown affect, and a interesting ombré affect with dark brown, and banana blonde. He was pretty charming, so I smiled at him, wondering why he was just standing there, staring at me.

Eventually the line of his mouth opened, and he spoke quickly.

"Are you Naomi Dalton?" I nodded, and held out my hand. He slightly shook his head, and held my palm as we rocked along. He giggled slowly, in a sexy way. It made my pores flutter with airy moisture.

"Elle wanted me to come and tell you that Harry, Liam, and I will be your new assistants. So, whatever you need for the rest of your internship, don't hesitate to ask." He faced a metal-filled smile at me, and stood me up. I became enraged with confused.

"WHAT? She just randomly hired you guys?" I called after him down the hallway, and he stopped and shook his head.

"No, Harry offered. And, he needed help, so Liam and I offered. You okay?" He looked sorrowful. I pout-like frowned at him, and just yanked my head up and down.

"I'm good. That's for telling me, Niall." He laughed, and trotted down the hallway, until his body was out of my sight. I held my hand to my head, sighed, and followed him to Elle's office.
