The water was always her first love. Fire was her enemy. But united, what is the consequence? Will she burn and will he drown...

3. Running

As i ran along the muddy woodland trail, my back being scorched by the warm morning run, I looked around me, at the shadows created the trees that loomed overhead. Blocking out the sky. As I came to the edge of the cliff, i slowed and surveyed my surroundings. I came here every morning but never got tired of the view. The lighthouse The lighthouse that stood far out from the cliffs, reached out to sea and led the cliffs through the storms. A short ringing alerted me that i needed to head back home. Home. What a silly word. You entered it only to leave it and pass on. My legs pumped as i tore along the trail. My mind wandered and thought back to my little sister. The ache in my chest was still there but not as prominent. My legs slowed as if sensing my hesitation until they stopped running all together. Willow. I needed to be strong for her so that i could get a future and a better life for the two of us. I shrugged any inhibitions off and ran. I ran until my eyes streamed. I ran as if i could out run the past.
