6. Chapter 6

"Hermione," came George's voice, pulling me out of my reverie, "I need my brother to help rebuild our store,he promised he would help us. I'm afraid." I glanced at him; he was smirking and looking between Ron and Me.

"Sure," I said "just came to get my book." Gesturing to the arithmancy book I'd left on the table earlier. I leaned forward over Ron to pick it up, noting how he smiled before he sighed,

"Oh," and deflated a little.

"But," I said, an idea striking me, "I could give you a helping hand, i-if you'd like." I felt colour rise in my cheeks once more, I wasn't usually this nervous.

"We'd love that Hermione!" said Ron, his eyes glowing.

"Wouldn't you just." chuckled George darkly. I hit him on the arm, lightly as I plonked myself between them and picked up a product list,

"Right then," I said "What first?"

We were sat there laughing; Ron and I extremely close side along George.

I just truly enjoyed this moment. A little while later, we were sitting together hand-in-hand. We were just about to kiss when Harry came . He had a look of mischief and regret on his face. Then he said,"Oh your here! I'll go tell Mrs.Weasley ." And with that he stumbled back through the gate towards the burrow. I laughed darkly. 'Serves him right.'I thought, snogging Ginny's face off all the time. Hermione just giggled cutely again.

"Ronald WEASLEY YOU GET IN HERE THIS MINUTE!" Came my mother's cry from the house. Hermione leant back slowly, looking slightly scared, and straightened her thoroughly ruffled shirt. I did the same and pulled her to her feet. We walked back to the burrow close, but no longer touching. Mum greeted us at the door with her hands on her hips

"Hermione, dear, why don't you go to bed?" said my mother, sweetly but the command was there. Hermione stalked upstairs wiggling her hips slightly and with a sneaky wink at me. My mother pulled me aside and sat me down with a stern look in her eye.

"Now, Ron, you really shouldn't confuse Hermione. She's been through enough what with her parents. You wouldn't want her to get hur-" I cut her off.

"Mum, I was, umm, comforting her, ask her."

"Yeah, that's what it looked like." Piped up Harry, who'd been sat quietly, unnoticeably, at the other end of our large kitchen table. I glared at him

"Look," I said "I'm not just joking around, I like her." I said, only just realizing it myself.

"Really?" muttered Harry sarcastically.

"Yes," I said, defensively "What's not to like? She's smart, attractive and probably quite funny!"

"Oh!" muttered Harry, taken aback.
