Where Draco-the-Slytherin-Prince replaces Ron-the-cheating-scum (Part 1)

Ginny looked on happily as Hermione Granger dumped her brother before the whole school at breakfast. She knew this was going to happen, Ron just wasn't loyal enough for her(or loyal at all). The good thing to come out of this was that Hermione was now single, like Draco Malfoy. Quiet as a mouse, she ran up to the owlery, then the head's dorms, and put her plan into motion.

"Ginerva Weasley, get out of my dorm immediately or I shall tell Ron about you and Harry!" Hermione said. Hermione Granger wasn't having a very good day. First, Ron-the-cheating-scum had gone and revealed his relationship with Lavender Brown by kissing her at breakfast, most definitely the worst way to break a girl's heart! Second, she'd received an O- for her potions essay on the properties of Amortentia, just because Hermione had forgotten to put Snape's name at the top of the page. And third, Draco had owled her to meet him at the astronomy tower at 3:50pm tomorrow. She had no idea what he wanted but Ginny had informed her that he had become a much nicer person so it probably wasn't anything too evil - she certainly hoped so. Her attention was brought to the present by a meek excuse from Ginny:

"I was only trying to get to that thing Draco gave you, it might be jinxed!" said a sheepishly.

"What thing?"

"Draco said he left an important thing for you in your dorm"

"He's a male, he couldn't get into my dorm!"

"One word: Pansy"

"Oh Damn. Have you found it, then?"

"Nope. I'll leave you to find out what he's left you. Bye!"

"Bye Gin"

As Ginny left Hermione walked into her dorm and got ready to go to bed. Just as she was about to get into bed she found a small wax-sealed piece of parchment. Her curiosity getting the better of her, she opened it and read the note written in a beautifully flowing script:

Dear Hermione,

I forgot to tell you to bring an umbrella tomorrow

Yours Sincerely,

Exhausted, Hermione placed the letter on her bedside table and went to bed.
