3. Chapter Three

So I stayed home today so I'm hopping that I will update two books but I don't think I have that much imagination but tomorrow I might finish my work before Christmas break so...yeah. Here's Chapter Three. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Miranda's POV

"Mom?" I asked.

She didn't want to look at me and stared at the ground. I could feel someone putting their hand on my shoulder. Tricia. I glanced at her and at my mom.

"What is she hiding now?" I asked myself.

"We should get you inside the car while Triton talks to your mom." Tricia suggested.

I nodded and followed her on the way to the car as I looked at my mom. Tricia climbed the car with me behind her and looked sadden at my mom.

"She did it to protect you." Tricia spoke up. I shook my head.

"It's all about protecting and staying hidden why is it always about protection? What do I not know? What are you protecting me from? I know that my step father died recently but does this have to do with my real father?" I asked her.

She gave me a questionable look.

"She told you about your father?" she looked surprised.

My eyes widen.

"So it does involve my real father?" She looked confused and opened the car door and walked towards my mother.

"Great." I though.

I sigh and watched Tricia freaking out and yelling at my mom. I smirked when Tricia screamed at there faces and she stomped towards the car.

"Okay your father was a grade A pain in your mother's ass. But yeah you could mention to your mom and Triton that I did tell you because I don't care what they think. So you father left your mom when she got pregnant. Actually I don't think he even knows you but that's another story for another time. Your father wasn't a bad guy but your father had to leave for another girl...."she trialed off.

I raised my brow.

"And that didn't make him a bad guy, how?" I asked.

She smirked.

"Your dad isn't human nor your mom." she replied.

"So this is why she's trying to protect me?" She nodded.

"Your father is a werewolf but also something else." she said.

I asked her what else was there.

"He's part merman. Your mom is fully mermaid." she explained.

I stared at her and slowly hyperventilating and fainted. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TRICIA'S POV

"You cant tell her about her father!" Miranda's mother grabbed my wrist.

I glared at her.

I pulled my wrist away.

"First of all, it's not my fault that you cant keep secrets and your past away from YOUR daughter. Second, don't ever touch me ever AGAIN. Even though I love to be in the middle of all of this," I motioned my hands around us," I cant go home so now that I need a new alpha and pack and I obviously don't need a mermaid telling me what to do since it's not my job to keep lying to Miranda even though there is no point in it since Triton is her mate and lets not forget that she's part werewolf so it wont be long until her wolf appears." After I yelled at her, I turned and stomped towards the car where Miranda was.

I climbed inside the car and found Miranda smiling at me.

"Okay your father was a grade A pain in your mother's ass. But yeah you could mention to your mom and Triton that I did tell you because I don't care what they think. So you father left your mom when she got pregnant. Actually I don't think he even knows you but that's another story for another time. Your father wasn't a bad guy but your father had to leave for another girl...." I trialed off.

Miranda raised her brow.

"And that didn't make him a bad guy, how?" she looked confused.

I smirked.

"Your dad isn't human nor your mom." I replied.

"So this is why she's trying to protect me?" I nodded.

"Your father is a werewolf but also something else." I said.

"Is there something else I should know?" she asked.

"He's part merman. Your mom is fully mermaid." I explained.

She stared at me and slowly hyperventilating and murmuring reasons why her father might have left her.

"Miranda." I grabbed her arms to control her.

Then she fainted. I got out the car and yelled for Triton and he ran to me and stopped Miranda. He quickly dismissed everyone and headed towards his house. I watched as Triton stroke Miranda's hair and talking to himself.

"He's losing it." I thought to myself.

"He's mate fainted, what do you think?" my wolf asked in a 'duh' tone.

I shrugged.

"Will we ever be like that?" I asked her.

She sigh.

"If we ever find him but I promise I wont faint in front of him." she responded.

I smirked.

"Better not." I cut my connection off with her.

I glanced outside and watched the trees as we passed by. We got to Triton's house in 5 minutes and he ran inside the house and screaming orders to help his mate. I on the other hand slowly walked inside and watched as everyone ran to Miranda's aid.

"I'll probably visit her later." I told myself.

I explored the house and everything looked expensive and fancy. I rolled my eyes and opened a door that led me outside to a garden. I walked closer to it and saw flowers and a near by fountain. I stared down at my reflection and sigh.

"How did my life end up like this?" I asked myself.

I looked away from the fountain and look further away and into the woods I caught a glimpses of a shadow. Sadly, it was gone before I could actually see what it was. I shook the thought off and made my way inside the house. People weren't freaking out again so I quickly entered Miranda's room. She was sitting up and looked up at me and sigh.

"That was embarrassing." she said.

I nodded and sat on her bed.

"It really was but at least you got Triton attention." I replied.

She blushed.

"That may be true but he has to pay attention to me. I'm his mate and he's mine." she told me.

I grin.

"So you are accepting him?" I asked.

She blushed even harder.

"Never said I wasn't but yes I'm accepting him." she tried to hold back a smile.

I smirked at her and looked down at my fingers.

"It's great that you actually know something and also have Triton wrapped around your finger." I said.

" You should get some sleep." She groan.

"I've been in this bed for 20 minutes and everything hurts. All I want to do is get out of this room." she complained.

I sigh." Than I'll go tell Trio-."

"NO that's all right. I'll go to sleep." she lay back down on the bed and closed her eyes.

I got up and walked out the room with Miranda's mom following me.

"Is there something you need?" I asked.

I paused for a second but she didn't. As she walked, she grabbed my arm and led me into a room. She basically threw me inside when she locked the door. She turned around and faced me.

"What's your problem?" I asked.

She glared at me.

"Why did you tell Miranda?" she ignored my question.

I smirked and crossed my arms over my chest and took a sit on a near by chair.

"What I want to know is how will Miranda feel when she actually finds out what happened to Cyrus." I said.

"Don't speak of his name." she hissed.

"That's the reason why I said his name. Miranda might not find out by herself but what if she had some help from remembering anything?" I asked.

Her eyes widen at what I asked.

"Your helping her?" she yelled/whispered.

I shook my head.

"I don't have witch blood in my family so I cant and I clearly can tell her the past if I wasn't there to watch it. Anyways, she's already changing and you know what that means." I smirked.

She raised her brow.

"She's accepting Triton and it wont be long until..."

"Until she finds her father and what happened in the past." she paced back and forth.

I stood up.

"She shouldn't worry about that. What you should worry about is the fact that you should find a new witch and do the same thing you always do." I told her.

She shook her head.

"Witch's have freedom. They wont be that willing to help." she paused," But I could send someone to go find one."

I stared at her and sigh.

"Three...Two...One." I said.

"Tricia you have to go find one." She almost begged.

I shook my head.

"You don't have family and this is a great way to go find your mate." she told me.

I stared at her in disbelief.

"You want me to find a witch that may or may not be able to do a damn spell that isn't even worth it and the fact that you said my family is bullshit. Okay my family are stupid assholes and yes I want to find my mate but your doing this thing for yourself, you know that right. Your being selfish and you want to erase Miranda's thoughts wont make you a better person but I'll find a witch and make her do the spell. But I'm warning you now, change your mind before it's too late." I explained.

She didn't think for a second and told me to go.

"Fine but I'm just saying that you should think about." I turned away and left.

I knocked on Triton's door and he opened the door.

"We need to talk." I told him.

"About..." he trialed off.

"That's just say that Miranda is going to be on a hell ride when she finds out what I'm what about to do." I said.

He smiled.

"What'd you do now?" he asked.

"Let's just say her mom is a bit over thinking things so never let her out of your site and don't let a witch near Miranda. Understand?" I looked at him.

He laughed.

"I understand but what's your part in all of this?" he looked interested.

I sigh.

"That's not important for now but just tell Miranda I went to go find my family."

He nodded and I walked outside. I slowly headed to the front of the house but I didn't stop. I walked away from the house and knowing that if I turned around, I would run back inside the house. I didn't. I walked further away before running into the forest and never looking behind me. I found a river and I sat beside it. I drank some of its water when I hear a twig snap behind me. I shot up and looked around the area surrounding me. There was no one but I caught a shadow inside the tree, it seemed like it was hiding. It might even be watching me. I stepping back from the river as I saw yellow eyes coming from the shadow and I looked like it was coming closer to me. So I ran, again. After run for what it seemed for hours, my wolf decided to talk to me.

"This is what happens when you take orders from people." she told me.

"What's that suppose to mean?" I asked.

"You always follow rules." she hissed.

"If it was an alpha you wouldn't hesitant to follow his order, would you?" I smirked.

She growled.

"That's an alpha was a mermaid. She couldn't do anything to you." she replied.

I rolled my eyes.

"You do know that we are a target right?" I asked her.

She agreed.

"We are rogues now, we need to find a pack fast." she told me.

"That's kind of hard since we come from father's pack." she growled.

"Let's not talk about that." she suggested.

"Look what we have here." someone said from behind me.

I hear walking from more than one person. I smelled the air.

"Wolves." my wolf said.

"Great, that's just great." I told myself.

I turned around the face the wolves and found a couple of them.

"Rogue." one of them hissed.

I smiled.

I faked gasped," Wow, I never knew that. It didn't look pretty obvious when I was walking all alone in this forest."

They growled.

"We need to take her." someone said.

I rolled my eyes.

"I know that I'm rogue and all but have any one noticed a shadow that hides and have yellow eyes." Their eyes widen.

"Now we have to take her." they grabbed a hold of my arm and my wolf growled.

"Don't start." I begged my wolf.

She didn't listen to me and threw the wolf off of me.

"Nevermind." I said as my wolf snarled at the wolves. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------- I feel that it wasn't that great but its something and I hope you still liked it. I thought about putting Tricia's POV since I thought she was going to be important and have her own storied to tell but yeah...
