24. Chapter 24

(I'm gonna stop naming these chapters... As you can see, I'm not very good at it XD)

~~I lay on my bed, staring at the ceiling. I looked at the ring.
"Suppose you don't know where his sister is, do you?" The colours violently swirled, but they made no sense.
"Mm... And you're supposed to help?" I sarcastically asked. 'Obviously' popped up.
"We're clever now, are we?" I tiredly questioned.
Nothing. As per usual.
I sighed and grabbed my phone and went to the contacts. I reluctantly started to text Christopher. I wanted to help Finbarr, but he wasn't going to be able to help me on this one.
"Hey, it's Lucy. Finbarrs' really missing his sis. Any info?"
I let my finger hover over the middle button to send the message.
"He'll kill me if he finds out" I sighed, letting my thumb land. Finbarr wasn't possessive or aggressive, but he still cautious of the fact that Christopher had said that he liked me.
I picked up the ring again.
"Anything new with you?" I asked it. 'Soon' popped up in the midst of the excited colours. I frowned.
"Soon?" I inquired. 'Yes' came up. I rolled my eyes.
"What's soon?" But then my mobile beeped and I threw the ring on the bedside dresser. I was too tired for this. I opened the message.
"He misses her this time of year. Harder since it was his 18. Name is Abby. Is 26. Pretty sure they lived in Wicklow, but not sure where she is now. Why?"
I bit my lip. It sounded almost impossible to find her.
But I found my father without even looking. I quickly texted back.
"You are going to help me find her. Don't tell Finbarr, no way are we getting his hopes up. Tell Lisa and Seamus."
My phone then rang. It was Christopher. I was tempted to let let it ring, and listen to my favourite song, knowing he'd just moan at me, but I grimaced and answered anyway.
"What do you think you're playing at?" he hissed.
"C'mon man! He really misses her. He was in bits! We have to find her!"
"Lucy, it'll be impossible!" he exasperatedly sighed.
"Well, I never thought I'd find my father, but I did."
"Lucy" he warned. I angrily sucked in my cheeks. I'd had enough.
"Whatever Christopher. Do what you want. I'm looking for Abby whether you like it or not." I hung up and stubbornly crossed my arms.
"I'll find her" I persisted, knowing all too well that I sounded like a five year old.

Christopher coldly glanced at me the next day, but he was distracted by his flashing phone, and his eyes...sparkled?
'Chloe' Lisa mouthed at me. I grinned to myself.
I knew, though, that I had to talk to Mason today. He found Finbarr, he must know where Abby is. He was going to help me find her, one way or another. But, of course, something got in my way of doing that.
"Mo chairde!" Seamus nervously yelped, bursting into the sitting room.
"Could you all sit down, mas è do thoil è. Um, please." We all looked at eachother and slowly and awkwardly sat.
"You O.K Seamus?" Lisa asked, her face creased with concern. He vigorously nodded his head.
"I am, I just...I want you to meet someone." He looked embarrassed as he went to stick his head out the door.
I couldn't contain a beam spread across my face. I was hoping this was his 'friend' that he had been texting.
"Tar isteach" he whispered. "Come in." Seamus breathed heavily, and I looked at him, confused. He seemed overly-anxious to introduce us to his girlfriend.
"Guys...this is Ben."
