21. Someday *unedited*

I woke up to my body sprawled across the bed, my leg dangling off the edge. I groaned due to the excessive amount of sunlight, taking my casted arm and holding it up to block the brightness. A amazing aroma filled the room, becoming stronger with each passing second. I finally decided to pull myself out of bed, slipping on some shorts. I was about to take Marcel's sweater off but I debated against it, letting it fall loosely on my figure. I opened the door to the guest bedroom, walking down the hall which led to an open kitchen, Jake standing there topless as he made eggs and any other breakfast item you can imagine.

"Good morning Ella." Jake smiled, never tearing his eyes from the pan as I smiled, sitting atop the island.

"Mm.." I mumbled, smiling as the food surrounded me, transporting me to another world. This smelled absolutely heavenly.

"Get a plate and choose what you would like!" Jake said, everything set out in a type of buffet set up. I nodded, smiling as I slid a plate from the stack, piling it with food.

   Six months, one day.

Don't think about it Ella, it's just going to screw everything up.

"Dang can a girl eat!" Jake exclaimed as I laughed, setting a few pancakes on top of the pile. I looked down at my plate, deciding on whether or not I should get more or not. Nah, I'd spare some for Jake.

"I'm hungry, what can I say?" I smiled, shrugging my shoulders as I walked to the table, setting my plate down. As soon as possible, I was digging into the contents, quickly stuffing my mouth as Jake sat across from me, eating his food slowly.

"A girl who's not afraid to eat in front of a guy...I like it!" Jake laughed as I smiled, a redness warming my cheeks as I finished off my plate, placing it in the sink. I fisted my hand, setting it on my chest as I let out a burp, my eyes widening as I giggled.

"I'm sorry!" I laughed as Jake followed my pursuit, soon finishing his meal. We both sighed in content, leaning back against the chair as our hands rested against our stomachs.

"You know what?" I asked, a smirk forming on my lips as my eyes brightened with excitement.

"What?" Jake smiled back, ready to answer whatever ridiculous question I would throw.

"You should cook for me everyday and then when I die, you should still cook for me and bring it to my grave!" I exclaimed eagerly as we both laughed, Jake shaking his head in amusement.

"Whatever you please my Lord!" Jake replied in a posh manner, bowing down ever so slightly. I laughed, truly feeling happy as Jake was the next to speak.

"What if I die before you?" He asked as I set my chin between my thumb and index finger, conjuring up a plan.

"If that's so, I expect you to have a kitchen and food with you in the ground. I also expect your corpse to deliver me food everyday for each three meals!" I spoke, barely able to get the words out due to our laughter.

"I don't know about you but if a corpse delivered my food you best believe I wouldn't be eating it!" Jake contradicted as I laughed, clutching my stomach with my unharmed arm.

"If you don't mind asking, what happened to your arm?" Jake asked as my happiness vanished, remembering that day.

"Oh, one day I was just really tired and I was tangled up in my blankets at the top of the stairs. Not the best idea and I fell down all of them, breaking my arm." I said, trying to leave the part about the fake police officer being there. That would mean I'd have to tell him about murdering three people. Most people aren't comforted by having a murderer living with them.

"I could see you as the clumsy type!" He laughed, standing up and finding a dry shirt from the dryer as he pulled it over his head. I nodded curtly, standing from my place as I walked around the table, plopping down on Jake's lap.

"Yep.'' I responded, Jake looking at me confused yet amused.

"Hello there!" He smiled as I beamed a proud smile, my posture straight as ever.

"HI!" I shouted as he flinched, chuckling as he looked up at me.

"Someone is feeling a bit hyper!" He joked as I nodded vigorously.

"Now I'm tired..." I pouted like a little kid, resting my head on his shoulder as his arms wrapped around me.

"Do you want me to carry you to bed?" He asked as I slightly elevated my head, looking into his eyes.

Before I could respond, our lips were molded together, his tongue gently tracing along my bottom lip as I parted way, allowing him any access he wished for. My legs wrapped around his torso as he stood up, gently pressing my against the wall, our kiss never breaking. I was quick to remove his shirt, his hands fumbling to remove mine as it was pulled over my head. I went to remove his shorts but the ring of a doorbell stopped us.

We both groaned, Jake not bothering with his shirt as he went to answer it.

"What do you want?" I heard Jake spit as I scrunched my forehead in confusion.

"I want to talk to Ella." I heard a voice respond that froze me in my tracks.

"She's not here." I heard Jake lie as I took a quiet breath. Should I talk to him or not.

"Than why are you shirtless and why are your shorts on the border of falling off?" I heard Marcel ask as I suppressed a laugh.

"Marcel?" I spoke, walking over behind Jake as his eyes lit up. Not before realizing I was only in a bra and my shorts.

"Why are you, did you guys?" Marcel flustered, his eyes watering as guilt coursed through my every vein.

"Uh no.." I spoke softly as Jake stood there awkwardly.

"Can...Can I come in?" Marcel asked as Jake was quick to respond.

   "I don't think that's the best id-,"

"I wasn't talking to you, I was talking to Ella."

"Marcel, I don't think it's a good idea." I spoke sadly as he sighed, pressing his lips together.

"Please, I really need to talk to you." He pleaded as I realized the bandages on his hands. I sighed, nodding as I gently pushed Jake aside, letting Marcel in.

"I'll be quick Jake, I promise." I said monotonously as I was quick to pull the sweater back over my head, leading Marcel to the guest bedroom.

I led him in, closing the door as we sat on the bed.

"What do you want Marcel?" I asked as I eyed his bandages once more. As he answered, I lifted one of his hands, my thumb gently caressing it.

"Ella, I'm miserable here. Every day I think about you leaving me and when ever it happens, I'm just not ready. I never will be. You complete me and I don't feel right without you. I fuck up all the time but you love me anyways and I love you more than you could imagine. I-I just...I'm amazed when I looked at you, not just because of your looks but because everything I want is right in front of me. Ella, you're the only person I want to be with. Forever and always. I know that I make stupid mistakes and I'm horrible at telling you that I love you, but I do. I love you more than Romeo loved Juliet, I love you more than anything you can imagine. I can't lose you, because if I did I would've lost my best friend, my soul mate, my smile, my laugh, my everything. You're my everything Gabriella and you're the only person I can see myself with until the day I die." He said, his small speech causing loads of tears to fall from my eyes. He took his thumb, gently wiping them away as I sniffled, this decision impossibly hard.

"M-Marcel. I love you to but we can't keep doing this...I-I'm sorry..." I whispered, the silence nearly deafening.

He shook his head, biting his lips as he looked down at where our fingers were laced together.

"Just know that I love you...always have always will!" Marcel said quietly as I nodded. He stood up, taking one more look down at me before walking out of the door and out of the house. I saw him get into his car and that's when my senses kicked in. I ran from my room, tearing out of the door just as his car was backing away. He stopped the car once he saw me, opening the door as I ran up to him.

"One more thing before good bye.." I spoke quickly, pulling his lips to mine as he stumbled out of the car, never breaking the kiss. I smiled, my eyes shut as I savored the feeling I'd never get again. After a moment or two I pulled away, looking into his eyes.

"Sorry, I needed one last memory of us before it all goes down.." I said so quiet you had to strain your ears to hear it. He nodded, leaving one last peck in my lips as I backed away, his tall built frame getting into the car and closing the door. Our eyes locked once more, a few tears straying from my own as he pulled away, eventually driving so far down the road he was nothing but a black dot.

"Marcel.." I whispered, my voice cracking horribly as tears raced from my eyes, Jake hurrying to stand beside me.

"Are you okay?" He asked as I shook my head. He pulled me into him, his arms wrapping around me as I cried into his chest.

"I will be, I have to be.." I whispered, hoping I would someday be happy.
