Chapter Ten.

I find it completely differently to wake up with someone doing it, rather than with an alarm clock. I just need to keep reminding myself not to kick or try to knock out the person whom is in charge of waking me up.

I can’t seem to grasp, hw people haven’t understood that I am in no mood whatsoever to make friends or try to be nice with anyone. It is already annoying that everyone tries to be my friend just because I’m Tyler’s step-sister, and somehow intelligent because I’m one year ahead.

As I promised that I was going to be good, I can’t possibly use my usual methods to keep people away and teachers on line with situations regarding me. So I had to use the most lame method, become a loner. I sat on the far corner just like I had done it before, and started writing down my list of ‘To-Do’ for today. I was somehow confused as to why Mr. Right would want a report on what I found on my father’s laptop, but whom am I to question him?

I felt someone sit next down to me. “Finishing the math homework?” He chuckled.

“I’m pretty sure that we had no math homework.” I replied closing the notebook. No one was allowed to know what I am doing.

“I’m Adam.” He spoke and I raised an eyebrow. “How are you today Phyre?”

I frowned. “How do you know who I am?”

“I have my sources.” He winked and walked away.

“This is ridiculous  and useless Michael.” I spoke as I entered my father’s office.

“Why do you say?” Michael sighed.

“Why would Mr. Right want a full report on my father’s work, when LSA has everything up in their system?” Michael raised an eyebrow. “As if I wasn’t going to hack into LSA system.” I rolled my eyes.

“I thought it had a super system, making it almost impossible to hack.” Michael argued.

“Who do you think design that?” I chuckled. “Although, why don’t they have a copy of my fathers worked, I mean detailed. They have the basics, but not everything.”

“You’re not cleared to know.” Michael winked and walked out the room.

I had already sent out my report to Mr. Right, and I had decided to draft all of my fathers work into one single project. It wasn’t hard, I just had to be dedicated. I was so concentrated on my job, that I failed to sense someone approach my office.

“What are you doing here?” I snapped as I closed the laptop. “Are you my stalker now?

Adam chuckled. “No, but I can sense distrust from you.”

“I don’t trust people.” I shrugged.

“I knew your name thanks to work.” Adam replied and I raised an eyebrow. “I used to help your father out. You have an incredible mind.” I sighed. “Would you let me study it?”

I frowned. “Is that your way of getting a girl?” Adam chuckled. “You should step up your game.”

“I’ll take that as a dare.”

“I have work to do.” I spoke rolling my eyes. “Leave.”

“I’ll see you at school.” He winked and walked away.

I re-opened the laptop and got back to work. I was not one to be distracted, and I don’t care if he used to work with my father, now it’s me, and I do work in couples.
