1. Chapter 1

"Paige, you need to get off your phone! You've been on it long enough." I roll my eyes as my mom stretches her voice up to my room, seizing me with her anger. Why do parents got to be so protective? I'm only playing a game. I have almost beaten the level when Mom comes storming in,

"Paige! Haven't you heard me? This is the millionth time I've asked you to put down that device." I laugh.

"You didn't ask me a million times Mom. Only four." I raise an eyebrow at her. Her eyebrows part in and she crosses her arms.

"Don't sass me young lady."

"Don't sass me young lady." I mock her in a tune that sets her off.

"That's it. Give me your phone. No phone or TV for two weeks." She swipes my lovely phone out of my hand and storms out.

I grunt and sit up from where I'm sprawled out on my bed. It's been a week since my twin sister (or should I say twin devil) Kayleigh left for Las Vegas. I still don't see why she got to go and I couldn't. Okay, MAYBE I almost set the school on fire, and MAYBE I put snakes in the math teacher's desk, but come on! It's senior year, and I'd like to go on our last field trip. It's a major one and I'm one of the two people who didn't get to go. I have no one to spend my time with, not that's a problem anyways, since I got grounded last week. The day Kayleigh left I called after her, "Hope your plane crashes into a deadly forest with bunches of deadly creatures!" I found that hilarious, but my mom, not so much.

I'm about to go and grab something from my mini fridge, when I hear the doorbell go off.

"Paige, can you get that? I'm on a phone call." That's Mom's excuse for 'I'm to lazy to get the door so I'm making you do it.'

I trudge down the stairs and peek out the door. The mailman is standing on our front porch, holding a small package.

"Yes...?" I look through the small crack of the door.

"Delivery for Kayleigh Dray." He taps his foot impatiently.

"Kayleigh isn't here." I groan.

"Just give this to her, will ya?" He snaps at me and I fling open the door and grab the package. He makes his way to the mail truck.

"Bye!" I wave and slam the door, plopping down on the couch.

"Let's see what Kayleigh ordered THIS time..." I smirk and rip it open. My mouth flies open when I see what's inside. Backstage passes to a One Direction concert? When did this happen?

"Kay got some goodies here." I gasp.

If you didn't know, Kayleigh and I LOVE the band One Direction. They're perfect, okay?

"When did this happen?" I wonder. Kayleigh never told me about this! She knows how much I'd like to see them in real life. It would be amazing to see them. And backstage passes too. Does Mom know about this? I wonder to myself.

"Mother!" I shout. She strolls into the living room.

"What is it Paige?" She asks. I hold up the passes, and make a sassy face.

"Did you know anything about Kayleigh ordering these?" I stand up, shoving the passes in her face.

"Well, yes." She looks down, prepared for the teenager scolding.

"How come no one told me? Was I just not invited or something? Mom, this could of been the key to good behavior! I would of behaved for WEEKS! But NO, I get put off the list of fun? Everyone in this family knows I love One Direction just as much as Kayleigh. Maybe even more! Have you SEEN the walls in my room? Plastered with the boys' faces." I pace around the room, yelling.

"I'm sorry Paige. This was a late birthday gift for Kayleigh." She's trying to cover up for my goody-two-shoes sister.

"Mom, our birthdays are on the same day." She's never getting away with this.

"Well Paige, Kayleigh earned this. Have you seen her grades? Outstanding. Have you seen yours? Not so much. Maybe if you focused more on getting into a good collage, more than how many fake eyeballs will fit into a soup can, you'd get this present." She ripped the passes out of my hand and stomped off.

This isn't fair! I deserve those too. I work as hard as I can during school. Well, maybe not AS hard as I should, but the rule has always been the same. You get something for Kayleigh, you get it for Paige too. Pretty simple I'd say.

But I'm getting those passes. I'll go to the concert. I'm determined to get what Kayleigh always gets. Kayleigh is always the favored one. I'm always left in the dust. It's always about Kayleigh. It's never 'Paige and Kayleigh', its always 'Kayleigh and Paige.' Sometimes, my name isn't even mentioned. It's just Kayleigh. I'm forgotten by grandparents all the time. I never get those 'good work' hugs and kisses. Ever since we were little, Kayleigh was the cuter one, even though we looks exactly the same. Chocolate brown hair and stunning blue eyes that pop out with whatever we wear. I'm expected to act like Kayleigh. I'm never respected for who I am.

I'm going to get my dignity. People will realize what Paige Dray is capable of. They'll realize they're wrong, and that I deserve a time in the spotlight too.

I'm going to get it. No matter how long it takes.
