Like Crazy

Everyone thinks Julia Parker is perfect, but she is nothing close.
She is soon to be facing an arranged Marriage to her dad's close friends son, Harry Styles, though Julia wants nothing to do with him.
But, through Harry she meets Niall who she falls head over heals in love with.
They begin doing things behind Harry's back, and when he finds out, they devise a plan.
But with the wedding coming up, Julia is worried there won't be a way out.
But she can't marry Harry.
Because of Niall.
She needs him, she wants him, she loves him, like crazy.

19. "Niall..."

I sat in Harry's living room for a few minuets before I received a text:
Nialler: Wanna come over? I miss you<3
My stomach fluttered, reading it. He was so sweet... It was a strange moment, when everything I had been doing just dawned on me.
What was I doing here? With Harry? He isn't what I want, Niall is. I need to stop doing this.. I loved Niall, not Harry. So what was I doing here? I replied quickly:
On my way<3
A while after climbing out Harry's living room window, I had reached Niall's house. I kept my head down as I walked, not wanting to be spotted by anyone.
"Hey baby," he said, tightly embracing me.
"Hey," I smiled, sniffing his shoulder.
"Are you.. Sniffing me?" He asked, laughing.
"You smell good," I informed him.
He laughed, shaking his head, "You're something else," "Should I take that as a compliment?" I flirted.
He put his hands on my hips, closing the distance between us. His lips lingered teasingly over mine.
"Don't talk- just kiss me," I cut him off.
He smiled before kissing me passionately, but pulling away much to quickly. I groaned in frustration, causing him to laugh. "I want to go out with you today," he said.
"Ok... Where?" I asked.
He shrugged, "Its New York City, I'm sure we can find somewhere,"
I smiled and nodded. At this point he had migrated to his living room.
"Maybe we could go to Brooklyn or something?" I suggested. "..Brooklyn?" He asked, slowly.
"Yeah.. I kinda want to get out of the city," I said, falling back onto the couch.
"Anything wrong babe?" He asked, sitting next to me.
I sighed, "It's just my parents..."
And the the fact that I'm marrying Harry.
"I'm sorry," he said, pulling me up onto his lap.
I straddled him and rested my head in the crook of his neck. "They just don't understand... Or care.." I continued.
I hadn't even noticed the tears slipping down my cheek. I felt terrible for not telling him, and for everything I did with Harry... I just couldn't stand the thought of him being mad at me.
He wiped the tears gently from my face. "It'll be okay, boo" he said, softly.
He's being so nice... If only he knew...
I sat up, looking him in the eye and smiling.
"Forget about it, I just want to enjoy the day with you"
He smiled back, "To Brooklyn?"
I nodded, "To Brooklyn,"
The 20 minuet drive to Brooklyn quickly turned into an hour as we maneuvered through the busy New York streets, plus added time to stop and buy clothes, being that I was still in my pajamas.
"Where to?" I asked.
He smiled, "You'll see,"
"You know I can't recall a date that you told me where we were actually going,"
I told him. He just laughed and kept driving.
"Tis the element of surprise Miss Parker,"
"Cony Island?!" I exclaimed as we reached our final destination.
"I've always* wanted to go here!"
He smiled broadly, "You've never been?"
I shook my head, "My parents never had time when I was little, dad promised we'd go for my 11th birthday but of course that didn't happen," I muttered.
"Well then I'm glad I got to take you here. It's pretty wild," he smiled.
"You better not be wimpy, Horan," I said.
He laughed, "Please, id do any ride,"
"We'll see about that, huh?"
-- Four and a half hours later, we had waited in extensively long lines, eaten more than I've ever eaten in two thanksgivings, and rode nearly every roller coaster in the place.
We were walking down the midway, deciding on our last two rides.
"I want to go on the Ferris wheel last, so you can choose what we do before that," he declared, biting the cotton candy he held in one hand, and gripping my hand with the other. "Corny, but fine." I said, eyes searching the perimeter for something dangerous.
"Oh my gosh!" I gasped, "we're doing that!" I pointed to the distance, aiming it at a ride called 'The Parachute Jump.'
Niall's face went white.
"I thought that closed down in like the 50's?!"
"1964." I corrected him. I've read every word written about this ride, and it had been practically my life dream to ride it.
Basically, they strapped you to a parachute and you jumped off of the 250 foot structure.
"Why is it open then?" He questioned, voice shaking. We walked closer and I read a sign
"Niall we're doing this lets go," I demanded.
"Julia, honey," he said calmly, "don't you think it shut down for a REASON?"
I shrugged, "it's open now! Lets go!!" I begged.
His feet didn't move, and I raised an eyebrow.
"Unless wittle Niall is scared?" This caught his attention, "Im not scared of anything,"
I laughed, "Then lets GO,"
He reluctantly walked toward me.
I practically ran up the stairs to the building. A tall African American man stood at the top, looking extremely bored. "Finally!" He said, seeing Niall and I.
I laughed.
"You two are the first people to come up here all day!" He told us.
This made Niall even more nervous.
"I've only dreamt of doing this," I informed him.
"That's what I like to hear. Now all you need to do is sign this release form," he said, handing a clipboard over to Niall and I. I signed it without even glancing at the words, and then passed the clipboard to Niall, who looked alarmed.
"You're not even going to read it?"
I shrugged.
He carefully read the first paragraph before realizing it was boring and signed it with a shaking hand.
He handed the clipboard back to the man, and I squeezed his hand comfortingly.
Minuets later we were strapped in parachutes and standing at the end of the building.
"Jump off as soon as possible, the longer you stand there, the more you worry," he instructed, looking straight at Niall.
"Land on two feet, hand your parachutes to the men down at the bottem.. And I think that's it. Have fun, kids"
That was all of the instruction given and I smiled at Niall. "On the Count of three?" I asked.
He nodded and said, "One,"
"Two," I added.
We leaped from the building and to say the least it was one of the most amazing experiences ever.
Seeing the gigantic theme park only a blur as we rushed trough the sky.
I looked over at Niall who smiled, clearly enjoying it.
We landed abruptly and much too soon.
Niall nearly landed on his face, causing me to laugh as I landed cleanly on my feet.
We stepped out of the jumpsuits and handed our parachutes to the workers at the bottom, thanking them and leaving. "Glad you did it?" I asked.
He nodded, "Yes, but I'm never doing it again"
I just laughed.
He intertwined his hand with mine as we walked to the Ferris wheel.
The sun was setting, and the skyline was beautiful.
"This is so cliche," I laughed.
"Eh, maybe. I like cliche" he smiled.
We boarded the Ferris wheel, fortunately the line was short. Niall and I had barely squeezed in next to each other when the ride started.
"I love you," he smiled.
I felt so terrible hearing the words leave his mouth.
I needed to tell him.
"Is something wrong?" He added.
"Niall I... I'm getting married."
