Jodie Taylor is a normal nineteen year old girl, except for the fact that she is famous. To get more fans and publicity, her management asks her to fake date a boy from the well-known boy band One Direction. Jodie isn't a fan of One Direction at all, she hates them, will she ever get along with her fake boyfriend? Will it be believable?

2. Chapter 2

“Are you sure that the song isn’t about Liam?” Laura asks and I roll my eyes at her.

“Duh,” I mumble. “Anyway, it doesn’t matter. It most likely won’t make it onto my next album anyway.”

“It’s a good song, I just doubt it will be a hit once people realise it’s about Liam Payne, soon you’ll be called the next Taylor Swift.” Laura sighs.

“Taylor Swift writes songs about break-ups.” I correct her. She shrugs and chews on her bottom lip.

“Anyway, want me to help with the music?” Laura offers.

This is what happens basically every time we go to the studio; I always get Laura to help me write the songs, because to be honest she’s the best at piano.

“Sure,” I say and we begin to write the music for the song.

“Hey, I was told to meet you here?” Someone says and Laura squeals. I turn around and see Liam Payne standing there. Shit.

“Hi, I have no idea what you were told, but feel free to sit down and watch me and my friend write songs.” I tell him as politely as I could. I know that if I’m rude Laura will most likely hit me.

“Is this the friend that hates One Direction and is going to ‘chop my head off’?” Liam asks. I laugh.

“You’re so gullible!” I giggle and he shoots me a look which says seriously? “She loves One Direction.”

 “Oh,” Liam mumbles.

Laura leans across and whispers in my ear “Can I give him a hug and fangirl so much that I scare him away?” I laugh.

“Yes.” I tell her. She gives me a huge smile before jumping up and running to Liam. She then wraps her arms around him and I couldn’t help but laugh as his reaction was priceless.

“I can’t believe I finally get to meet you!” She squeals. Liam finally wraps his arms around her but he still looked shocked and scared. Maybe because fans never ran up to him and hugged him.

Laura pulls away after several minutes and her cheeks are bright red, with embarrassment maybe? She sat back down on the sofa and looks at me.

“You could have told me that he would be here!” She hisses at me.

I shrug. “I didn’t know he would turn up at all. Management didn’t text me anything.” I say and pull my phone out to prove to her that I didn’t know.

*1 Unread Text Message*

Shit. I open the text up and of course it’s from management saying that Liam is on his way around to the studio so we can build up our relationship.

“They text you didn’t they?” Laura says and shakes her head.

“I honestly didn’t know!” I defend.

“I’m still in the room.” Liam cuts in.

“Sorry,” Laura says quickly and I bite my lip to stop myself from giggling. Liam walks over to the table in front of the sofas where we’re sitting and picks up my song book and reads the song with his eyebrows raised.

I jump up from where I’m sitting and try and snatch the book from him unsuccessfully. “Give it back!” I whine like a three year old who has had their favourite toy snatched by an older sibling.

“No way,” Liam says and tries to push me away with one hand. I try and reach for my book again but he moves it away from my grasp.

“You ass!” I scream.

“Language!” Laura hisses, “It’s Liam fucking Payne you’re talking to!” I shoot her a glare before trying to grab the book, this time he passes it to me.

“Thanks.” I hiss and sit back down.

“I already read it, it was . . .” he pauses as he searches for the right word “Interesting.” I scowl at him and cross my arms across my chest.

“He would find out one day, I told you so.” Laura says quietly. I shoot her another glare and she holds her hands up in surrender. “Don’t kill me.”

“I never said I would.” I snap.

“Are you trying to be the next Taylor Swift or something?” Liam teases and I shake my head.

“She writes songs about break-ups and assholes; that song is just about an asshole.” I retort. Liam raises his eyebrows at me and sighs.

“Anyway, you have to come to a party with me and the boys tonight, we have to prove to them that we’re really together, if it doesn’t work we then have to spend every minute with each other until it’s believable.” Liam tells me. I feel my eyes widen and my mouth falling open. No way.

“You didn’t tell them?” I ask.

“I told them, they just have to pretend they don’t know.” Liam says with a shrug.

“It’s going to be even harder to try and make it believable.” I sigh and run my hands through my hair.

“You’ll be fine,” Laura reassures me and I nod.

“Hold my hand.” Liam instructs me. This is going to be another night of torture. I take his hand reluctantly and he pulls me inside the club to meet his friends.

The first place we walk to is the bar where the rest of the boys are, each holding some kind of alcoholic drink in their hand. The boys turn around and wave at us. I wave back and at the same time Liam squeezes my hand.

“Guys, this is Jodie,” He introduces and they nod and say hi.

“Hi,” I say back awkwardly, I only knew one name which was Harry.

“I’m Louis,” One says. I could just about see that he had blue eyes and his hair was brown and very messy like he hadn’t bothered to brush it this morning. Was it cool to have hair like that or something?

“I’m Niall.” The blonde one said; he had an Irish accent, which was unexpected because I thought all of them were from England.

“I think she knows all of your names,” Liam cuts in as Harry opens his mouth. I shake my head.

“I don’t actually, remember, I’m not a fan.” I say and he looks at me. I bit my lip and realised my words had come across harsh.

“Oh right, sorry,” Liam apologises.

“I’m Harry.” Harry says.

“That I do know.” I say and he chuckles.

“Of course,” Harry says.

I shrug. “I’m a Taylor Swift fan.”

“Of course,” Harry says, this time his jaw was clenched from the mention of his ex’s name.

“I’m Zayn,” He had dark hair and his skin was covered in tattoos. He had more tattoos than the others. I nod.

“Nice to meet you all,” I say politely. Liam gives my hand a squeeze before kissing my cheek. It took everything in me not to cringe.

“What would you like to drink?” He whispers in my ear.

“Water.” I reply, Liam raises his eyebrows at my choice.

“You don’t drink alcohol?” He asks and I shake my head.

“I don’t like it.” I reply simply. He nods before walking off to get our drinks, leaving me behind to get to know the rest of the boys.

“How did you two meet?” Harry asks. Shit, that was definitely not something I expected them to ask me. What if Liam already told them how we meet? Oh wait, they know don’t they. “Don’t panic, we know everything.” Harry adds with a wink and everyone chuckles except from me. I stand there like an awkward potato.

“Oh,” I whisper.

“You’re not a fan?” Louis asks. I shake my head.

“I like rock music more, don’t question that I listen to Taylor Swift either.” I say. “Laura begged me to listen to her years ago.”

“Who’s Laura?” Zayn asks.

“My best friend, she’s like my sister. She helps me write my songs.” I inform them and they all nod. I look around for Liam and see that I can’t see him anywhere.

“He’s probably gone for a piss, don’t worry, he’s not cheating on you.” Niall says, I turn to look at him and I could feel my cheeks heat up.

“Okay,” I mutter.

“I think I have seen you on TV,” Zayn says and I nod.

“Probably, I have done a few too many interviews.” I reply and he nods. At that moment Liam returns with our drinks. He kisses my cheek again and I force myself not to glare at him.
