The Locket

Maddie Crowley, a 23 year old pop star is on her way to her best friend's wedding. What problems will she face? How will she solve these problems? (This is a short story so, well, ITS SHORT! Please do not ask for sequels because I will not be making one, but if you want an epilogue I might be up to making one).

1. Prologue

The speakers boomed as the crowd cheered loudly at my final song. They shouted my name, "Maddie! Maddie!" I smiled and waved, "Goodnight New York!" as I walked off stage. I strutted over to my dressing room with a smile plastered on my face, and started removing my makeup, hearing the crew walked by my room congradulating me on a great night.

"Nice job Maddie!"

"You did great Maddie!"

"Very well done Maddie!"

I smiled. Hearing each of those comments made me happy and hopeful. I was excited that I had finished my 25th concert in a row. It was finally time for Macy's wedding. I grabbed all my stuff and ran out the dressing room. I entered my suite and packed all my stuff. I made sure I had the locked with me, and shoved the carefully wrapped box into one of the semi large suitcase pockets. I smiled and dashed out of the apartment. I had a 1:35am flight to Wisconsin, and I could not be late for my best friend.
