Protection Brought to You by One Direction

Jasmyn Wilde is a princess. No, seriously, she is. Complete royalty. She is the daughter of King Joseph Anthony Vincent Wilde. Her father married a peasant girl and then they had Jasmyn. Her father was poisoned and anarchy ran throughout the kingdom. Now her father's arch-enemy is looking to take over the kingdom. One Direction secretly works as body guards for a Princess Protection Program and was assigned to take her away from her kingdom - and her mother - for safety. Will the boys succeed or will they let Jasmyn out of their grasp and into the arms of her father's enemy?

1. Rain of Terror

Hey guys.  I have had this idea for a long time and I couldn't wait until my other fan fiction was done because I was excited for this one so yeah.  I will be finishing my other one. And I have another fan fiction in the works.  I will have a lot to do with schoolwork, homework, projects, studying for tests, etc as well as update my other story so I will try as hard as I can. Also, I would like to ask you guys that if you really like my stories, PLEASE tell your friends.  This is my passion and I want to share it with as many people as I can, because hopefully, if they have a bad day, my writing will cheer them up.  So yeah, this is my new fan fiction. ENJOY. (:

I stared blankly out my window at the mass of people gathered in the streets for the march.  I just couldn't believe what they told me; it wasn't true.  It wasn't.  Right?

I never thought I would be in my teens when it happened.  It was just too soon.  I wasn't ready for this - nobody was.  Except that one mysterious, despicable person.

It just wasn't fair.  I mean, how could a 15 year old go on like this?

What I am talking about is the assassination of my father, King Joseph Anthony Vincent Wilde.  Yes, my father, the King was poisoned.

And I don't know why.  I mean, he was a kind ruler.  Everyone, from peasants to the class right below royalty, loved him.  Nobody in the Kingdom of Sicily, Italy ever wanted to see my father harmed.  Except his assassin.

My mother has been torn, I could tell.  But she puts on a brave face for her kingdom, but most importantly for me.  She says a queen always has to be strong and courageous for her people.  You must not let them know how terrified or upset you are on the inside.  I think Father's death has been hardest on Mother.

They met when they were teenagers and became best friends instantly.  They each had a secret crush on each other but feared their feelings weren't returned.  But finally, my father decided to take a step out into the open and took my mother to one of his favorite hiding places.

He had a tiny guest house that was used as a shack at a vacation house his parents owned.  The guest house was located in front of a forest; not a scary forest but a peaceful one.The forest opened up into a large clearing where there was a wonderful waterfall that turned into a pond one would splash around in to cool off.  There were beautiful lush green trees as well, but  one tree in particular stood out.

That tree was filled with cherry blossoms on it, with many flowers spread out; just like the other trees in the forest would have many leaves spread out. My father thought the tree was so lovely so he planted a cluster of those trees and built a spacious tree house.

He brought my mother there and that was where they shared their first kiss.  He took me there on my 13th birthday and told me that story.  I remember seeing the passion in his eyes as he retold the tale.  I hope to find my true love and have my first kiss there.  But there is a time and a place for everything, as Father always said.

I turned my head and looked to see who was standing in my bedroom doorway.  It was Bryant, the head security guard.

"Yes, Bryant?" I asked in my most princess-like voice.

"We are going to be exiting the castle for the parade."

I cringed at that word. Parade.

It was basically calling a funeral a celebration.

Bryant noticed and corrected himself.  "Sorry, Princess.  We are going to be exiting for the march.  Your presence is required to lead the front of the it."  He extended his hand towards me.

"I can't believe he's gone," I whispered, turning to look out the window again.

Bryant put his hand on my shoulder, turning me around.  "I know," he whispered back.

I threw my arms around his stomach and he hugged me back.

"Let's get moving."

Nodding, I pulled away and he lead me downstairs and out the front doors.

I stood up straight and pushed my shoulders back as I solemnly marched behind Bryant and his partner, careful to keep my mouth pulled into a straight line; however, my lips would quiver when I grew too sad.  The crowd watched as the princess of their country tried to swiftly march to the sad music.

We were going to take my father's casket to a hearse and then we were going to bury him.  I thought we should bury it at his hiding place, where he would be more comfortable.  I was told it is tradition to have the royal family buried in the family crypt.

His casket was behind me, and behind him, my mother.  She was being followed by other security guards.

The hearse wasn't far from my view.  Part of me wanted to run towards it and get this over with but another part of me wanted to tell the driver of the hearse to go away and tell everyone else that my father was just asleep.

Daddy, I thought, I can't believe you are actually gone.  Please prove everyone wrong and wake up.  How will Mother and I survive without our King? Do you think your only daughter can become Queen without her father to guide her?  I don't.  Daddy, I need you!  Wake up! Daddy...  You mean the world to me.  And Mother.  Can't you come back to us?  Please?  It's not fair! How could you let someone poison you?  Don't you know you left me behind?  I'm sorry for taking it out on you; it's not your fault.  You didn't want to leave your wife or your daughter behind because you knew they needed you so much.

I paused.

Like you said, there's a time and place for everything.

At that, a single tear escaped my eye but I quickly wiped it away before anyone would notice.  I was the princess.  I had to be brave.

Suddenly, gun shots rung out through the air, sending everything and everyone into complete chaos.

I felt someone grab me.  I screamed but I saw it was only Bryant.

"Go with your mother."

"What?" I asked.

"Now!"  He shoved me into my mother's arms and we raced into the castle.

Another gun went off and it zoomed over my head and I screamed. I gasped when I felt a bullet pierce my calf and I fell to the ground.  I saw panic shoot through my mother's eyes.  She helped me to my feet and urged me to go on.

When we were inside, Mother frantically ran up the stairs so I followed.

What is going on?  Who fired that gun? I thought anxiously.

My mother ran to the library door and she pulled me inside.

I looked around the room and I saw five people with their backs towards us.  Confused, I looked towards my mother for some answers.

"Stefan!" my mother called.

I saw a tall man with black sunglasses and thick brown hair come into my view.

"Mother.  What has happened?"

"I am Stefan, the Co-Founder of the International Princess Protection Program.  You, Princess, are in grave danger and are being relocated.  For your safety, five Protection Agents are going to provide you with all the protection they can offer.  They too work at I.P.P.P," the man explained, hurriedly.

"What are you talking about?" I inquired.

"Major, it's time..." I heard a young man with a thick Irish accent say.  He sounded calm but desperate at the same time.

"The boys will explain momentarily.  Before they do, we have to get you out of here."

"Major.  He's having his team search the premises."

I looked around and panicked.

"Jasmyn, listen here. You are going to have to leave without your mother-"

"What? No! I cannot leave my mother behind!"

"Sweetie, it's okay.  You have to.  It'll keep both of us safe if you leave."

I saw some of the boys come over to me and I felt myself being lifted.

"Mommy!" I cried out, reaching towards her as I was being dragged away from one of the few things I had to live for anymore.

She shoved something into my hands.  The last words she said to me were: "I love you".

After that, I became so blinded by tears, nothing was visible to me anymore.
