Adventures With The Doctor

I've loved Doctor Who ever since I can remember, and even though many of you will disagree with me on this, my favourite doctor is Matt Smith, and favourite companions tied between Clara and Amy. These are my made up adventures with The Doctor and Clara, and sometimes Amy reappears with Rory. Eventually, I will bring out new characters. There will be made up aliens to fight, and made up time dimensions to explore. WARNING: I will not be updating this THAT regularly, so I'm sorry if I make you wait. I hope you enjoy, and comment if you want. Thanks!

2. Blue Box Man Returns/ Truths and Lies (Part 2)

Clara finishes the last few crumbs from her remaining soufflé from three days ago by sucking the last few succulent flavours from her index fingers and tosses the soufflé wrapper into the bin.

For the last three days, all Clara had on her mind was seeing the Doctor again, after such a long time, when he turned up on her doorstep at 2:00am in the morning, unexpected and uninvited.

Questions ran through her brain, clogging up her head, clouding up her mind, but they remain in her head since the Doctor still hadn't shown his face.

Clara reaches out from where she is lying on the comfortable couch to grab the remote control and turns on the television. It blinks swiftly and flashes repeatedly as Clara takes time to decide on a channel. Satisfied, the television stops flickering eventually to entertain her.

After a few hours, Clara falls asleep on the couch, resting on a mountain of pillows, resting peacefully. she is only woken by a sharp tapping on the front door.

Stirring, her eyes flutter open slowly and she freezes before climbing up to answer the door. She walks lazily towards the door, and because she is still half asleep, stumbles forward, but catches herself just in time before tripping up on her own two feet, to unlock the door.

She flings open the door to a face that she has missed dearly, and could only be one specific  person.

The Doctor.

He still had the ridiculously cheeky smile playing across his face, and the way his ears and eyebrows would lift when he smiled too. And his hair. His ruffled brown hair that stuck up partly. Nothing had changed. He was still her Doctor, the Doctor.

"Hi, Clara." He said, his eyes glowing ultraviolet as he wove magic into the air with his words.

"Doctor!" Clara exclaimed, throwing her arms around his neck, locking him to her in happiness.

The Doctor laughed his happy laugh as he held his soufflé girl close to him. He felt warm, happy, and safe. He was with Clara. Soufflé girl, impossible girl. The girl who had saved him multiple times.

"So, soufflé girl, are you going to invite me in?" he asks, patting her back before she released him.

Clara laughs, before stepping back and gesturing the Doctor inside with a wave of a hand and welcoming arms.

The Doctor rubs his hands together in excitement and enters. He wanders down the hallway into the living room and helps himself to some jammy dodgers that are sitting on plate on the coffee table while the television programme is still running in the background.

"Still missing some basic manners then?" Clara raises her eyebrows at the sight, but isn't surprised at all.

"Hmmm?" he mumbles though his mouthful of stolen jammy dodgers.

Clara laughs, but takes a bite of her own jammy dodger before explaining the obvious.

"No stealing other people's jammy dodgers?" she points to the nearly devoured biscuit that the Doctor still held in his hand.

He pops the last morsel into his mouth and winks playfully, but rushes off and Clara follows him, curious of his actins.

He goes into the kitchen and pulls out his sonic screwdriver to scan the kitchen, just like last time.

"Don't worry, Doctor, nothing alien, I promise." I reassure him.

"Ahh, can never be too careful." he says, snapping the screwdriver shut and slipping it back into his blazer jacket.

"You know something, soufflé girl? I've never tasted any of your soufflés before." he says, smoothing his hair back with his fingers and licking his lips.

"You have." Clara frowns. "Three days ago, remember? Time Lords must have some really bad memory." she giggles to herself thinking about the facts. She had thought that Time Lords aced everything all the time.

"Actually, we Time Lords have excellent memories." the Doctor says in his 'matter of fact' tone. "So I would know if I stopped to visit you three days ago, and I didn't." he finished with a suspicious tone and a pull of his blazer to smarten up his look.

"But...but you were, I...I saw you. You ate one of my soufflés, scanning it with your screwdriver, to check for anything alien, when I reassured you. Y'know, appearing at 2:00 am in the morning? And...leaving in a hurry...?" Clara's voice trails off when she sees the Doctor's worried look.

"What? Doctor?" Clara whispers shakily, knowing that there's something incredibly and dangerously wrong.

The Doctor steps forward cautiously from where he was standing as if preparing for something terrible to happen and takes a firm hold of Clara's shoulders, looking deep into her eyes.

"Clara. That wasn't me that you saw yesterday, invited in yesterday. I'm sure of it. I only arrived her today, a couple of hours ago, from something important that needed attending to, when I thought that I would pay you a visit." he finishes, and then looks away, releasing her.

"That means, something...something alien, right?" Clara' voice was barely audible in the vast kitchen.

"Something alien...yes." the Doctor confirms Clara's answer.

He pulls out his sonic screwdriver again, for the second time and scans the room again, this time, in more detail, but frowns deeply when he finishes.

"Well? Anything alien?" she asks, stepping forward from the spot where she stayed in shock.

"Surprisingly, no..." he replies, his voice trailing off this time, too.

"You've scanned it twice, and nothing shows up, what does that mean?" she asks again.

"I don't know. Whoever it is-was, or whatever it is-was, it's being hidden very well. Amateur style, in fact. No signals, not even weird mixed ones." he explains, obviously very confused himself.

"What do we do? We can't just wait for it to show up again. He obviously wants something." she plonks down on a kitchen stool in worry.

"I think it's time for an adventure to solve a mystery is one flying blue box." he announces excitedly, tucking his screwdriver away safely and then pulling Clara off the chair and out of the door.

Clara giggles and follows him out, but secretly, she can't stop worrying about the horrible nervous and empty feeling in her stomach that just wouldn't go away.

So, who, or what was the 'thing' that Clara saw before? What plan does the Doctor have up his sleeve, and most importantly, what are they going to find out about this mystery? Find out next time, in Blue Box Man Returns, (Part 3)
