23. Stairwells and Tears

Shania's POV

I'm done being pushed around. I stormed out of her room and rushed towards the stairs. Everybody turned to look at me but nobody really moved at first. I made it into the stairwell before I broke down. I fell against the wall and couldn't stop crying. I was just so worried. Maybe I said the wrong thing. I just can't see my life without her. Sure we get into fights and go awhile without talking but I still love her to death. I just... I can't do it..

I hear the door open and Liam walks in.

He sinks down next to me and looks at me.

"Hey. Are you okay?" He asks with concern in his eyes and voice.

"At this point, I don't really know if I'll ever be okay. I've screwed up so many times and this just kinda made everything fall apart. Why do I have to be such a bad friend?" I start crying again.

Liam pulls me into his arms and says, "You're not a bad friend, you're a really good one in fact. You look out for the girls. You are the oldest, aren't you? You're like Louis. He looks out for us boys like you do for the girls. Stop looking at yourself like you're a bad friend. The girls probably look up to you."

He hugs me tighter and kissed the top of my head.

We stayed like the for a little while until I told him I needed to go home.

"Do you want some company?" He asked with hope.

"I'm probably going to watch chick flicks and cry into my cookie dough ice cream. I don't think you want that." I laughed through my tears.

"No, I don't mind." He smiled.

I didn't say goodbye to anybody, we just walked down the stairs and out to my car and headed home.
