27. Epilogue *surprise!*

It's the start to a new school year once again. Summer was a drag. I didn't feel like talking to Arc, considering all the faults that being with him caused me, at no fault to himself of course. I hadn't seen Liam at all and it seemed he stopped going to school at all a week after the incident.  I hate myself for it.

I could peer out my window and see him slumped on the sidewalk, his back hunched over, his face hiding from the rays of the sun. A trail of flower petals would soon grow along the sidewalk. You tried to make amends and I'm the one who fucked it up. If I had known what I was doing, I would've agreed to date you a week after we met. You wanna know why? Because I'm a helpless cliche who fell in love with her best friend. Even when we weren't friends, I still tried to protect you. We've made our fair share of mistakes but if there were to be a final mistake with you, I'd like for it to be me taking advantage of this bright side."

Any situation contains a bright side. It takes heavy searching and after this moment, this bright side was in full vision, no longer hidden from the fear that contained the both of them. It was...
