He's Possessive

Everything just went down hill, I never thought that I would find myself being sold to some man. Who would have ever believed that a parent would ever sell there own daughter?

4. Finding Comfort

I'm not so sure what time it was but the sun wasn't out yet. It could possibly be around midnight or the very early hours of the morning. I was laying in the bed that was placed in the middle of the room against the wall, the one I promised myself I wouldn't get comfortable in.

I didn't remember ever crawling into bed and resting my head on a pillow as I curled into the covers but that didn't matter to me right now. I felt like I was going to spew all over the duvet, my throat was so dry and I was sweating. I could already imagine the burning sensation that would fill my throat if i let myself become sick from the acids in my stomach.

It was now that I realized how truly horrible you can feel after going to long without food and water. I looked down at my stomach which had sunken in and stepped out of the bed. I felt dizzy but I made my way to the door and into the kitchen without too much of a problem. Atleast, I hadn't fallen on the way here.

I wasn't sure what to get first I hurried around the kitchen trying to find a cup for my water and eventually, I did. I think I chugged down three glasses before I decided to move on the the next thing. I looked around and so bread on the counter, I walked to it and ate just bread by itself. Not even toast yet.

I ate four slices before sitting on the floor and feeling a little sick to my stomach again, had I eaten that just a bit too fast?

"Hazel?" An unfamiliar voice asked me, I wasn't getting used to my name at all so it took a moment to figure out that the voice was talking directly to me. I looked up and saw a boy with brown curls staring down at me. They left distance between us as if they didn't want to touch me.

"No." I said simply. "Amber."

"Hazel get off of the floor." He insisted and I slowly did looking at him confused.

"Who are you?" I asked him looking over his features. He had beautiful eyes I had always wished that my eyes were a pretty color rather than the muddy brown color that they are.

"A friend, of Liam." He answered.

"Where is Liam?"

"He had to go out. He doesn't trust you alone here." He explained.

"Please! Please, let me go. Now is my chance to run I can go have a normal life if you just help me." I pleaded with him but his expression didn't soften.

"You wouldn't make it three miles out in these woods. We are in the middle of no where. You think that you are going to get home but home is almost four hours away. The nearest city is two hours away. That's where Liam went to get your ungreatful arse some food." He said to me making me flinch.

"Ungreatful?" I asked as if he had lost his mind completely. "I could have went far in life. Believe me."

"From what I hear, your life would have been going no where. You would have been on the streets as soon as your father lost that house and you probably would starve. Tell me who would want to hire someone who is homeless for a job?" He was right. I wouldn't have been anywhere but I would racher been there than stuck with some man I didn't know at all.

"I hate you." I said.

"That isn't the first time that I have heard that." He said nodding over to a girl who was sitting on the couch in the living room. She looked younger than me but somewhat close in age. "But she has learned if she doesn't obey me then she will suffer."

I frowned up at him in shock. "Who is she?" I asked wanting nothing more than to go and comfort her. She looked so uncomfortable and thin, so fragile.

"Mine," He said confusing me. "And you are Liam's." He said. He led me out of the kitchen, walking into the living room and sitting beside the girl. She jumped lightly as he put his arm around her which seemed to make him proud, he then looked up at me. "Come watch TV with us." He insisted.

"No thank you." I said about to walk past him then he grabbed my wrist.

"I'm sure there is nothing more entertaining back there.." He paused for a moment grinning over at the girl under his arm. "Why don't you go take her and explain to her how things are supposed to be working between her and Liam? Now." He said and she nodded standing up and following me into my room. I closed the door behind us.

"You have to behave." She said to me as soon as I turned to her.

"Why should I listen to them? Have they brainwashed you? Do you think their ways are okay?" I asked looking at her as if she had lost her mind.

"No, they haven't. I just know what's good for me." She explained.

"And what is?" I asked curiously.

"Not getting beaten every night that is one thing for sure." She said as tears came to her eyes.

"No, Liam said he wouldn't hurt me." I insisted.

"That was what Harry said to. The power got to his head. There are things that you need to learn so you don't upset them, you have to study them." She explained.

"I don't even come out of the room to look at him, why would I want to study Liam?" I retorted and she gave me a look.

"Please, If you don't please Liam then Harry is going to make it my fault." She said softly.

"Well I am certainly not going to please him." I said taking this in another direction.

"Not in that way, just make him happy." She said with a sigh. "He wants to feel dominant over you so just give him his moment of joy."
