* I like it at night, when everyone is asleep. When its actually morning, but people still call it the middle of the night. I like to just walk around the house. It's peaceful. It's kind of eerie, but I like the darkness. I probably sound really creepy. It's nice to be alone, but still know there's someone in the house with you. You feel safe, not like when you're actually home alone. You don't have to answer any "What are you doing?"s and you can just… walk around. You don't have to worry about someone staring at you or judging you because it's too late at night for anyone in my house… except me… to be awake. At least I did. Before I died.* So the chapters are really short, but I'll try to update as much as possible. School is about to start back, but I can always make time for writing! Please comment and tell me what you think! There'll be a better physical description in Chapter 3!

6. Waiting

I knew that directors had every right to keep actors waiting... But this was ridiculous! It had been over a week since the audition and I hadn't heard a word. I was starting to think that no news was bad news even though they said we'd know by the 27th. It was Christmas Eve so I had 3 days left. I had basically given up hope.

"Come on Frey!" Carter tried to console me as we sat in my dorm room. "You never know, they might have a really hard decision to make and that's why you haven't heard anything."

" Whatever Carter," I sighed. "I didn't think I was going to get it anyway."

Just then my phone started ringing. I checked the caller ID expecting it to be my mom, but the number had a New York area code. I answered and greeted the caller politely.

"Hi," a man said on the other end of the line. "Is this Freya Parker?"

"Yes... May I ask who is calling?"

"Of course," he said. "This is Jonathan Angus, the director of Les Misérables at Imperial Theatre." I almost dropped my phone. It was them. They finally called. I excitedly whispered to Carter for a second before I realized that Jonathan might've held the fate of my career in his hands.

"Oh, hello!" I exclaimed. "Thank you for calling!" Come on, tell me, tell me, tell me.

"Sure," he replied. "Freya, I have some good news for you."

    My heart started palpitating.

"Really. Now, you haven't gotten the part for sure," my heart dropped. "But you do have a callback."

Oh my god. Oh. My. God. Ohmygod, ohmygod, ohmygod, ohmygod, ohmygod.

"Thank you so, so much!" I wanted to reach through the phone and hug him.

"You are so, so welcome," he replied laughing. "I'm glad you're excited. You're only competing with one other girl. Her name is Avery Guinness. She's very talented and two of the four people in charge of casting are favoring her. But I like you. The executive producer and I like you very much. The callback will be the 26th at 4, so you have a day to prepare. Come ready to sing A Heart Full of Love. I assume you know it?"

"Yes, of course, sir," I said about to scream of excitement. "Thank you again so, very much."

"Don't let me down, Parker," he said. "I'm putting all of my money on you."

"Yes sir," I was breathless at this point. "I won't let you down."

"I'm sure you won't. Have a good day."

"You too, sir," I hung up the phone and just sat there for a moment staring at my phone.

"Well?" Carter waited for me to tell him what happened, but all I could do was sit there stunned. "Freya, what the hell did he say?!"

"I got a callback," I said barely loud enough for him to hear.

   "Wait, what?"

"I GOT A CALLBACK!" I started jumping up and down on my bed screaming. "OH MY GOD! THIS IS THE BEST FREAKING DAY OF MY LIFE!"

Carter started jumping with me, dancing and laughing and screaming just as loud as I was. I don't know how I heard it with all the noise we were making, but there was a knock on the door. I hopped of my bed to answer it. I turned the knob and swung the door open and standing there, is none other than, that beautiful boy, Evan Walker, staring down at me smiling.

Author's Note

So hey guys.... It's been wayyyyyy too long since I've updated. Like its bad. Really sorry for anyone who might actually enjoy this. I'm not really expecting anyone to like this, it's just a hobby of mine. But please tell me what you think and ways I could improve. But please keep it to suggestions or constructive criticism. I don't appreciate people being rude. But if you do happen to like this story, like favorite it, tell your friends, or whatever you want to do. How is everyone liking it so far. And if you're wondering who I'm thinking about for Carter, think of Jon-Luc Bilodeau, the main character of Baby Daddy, or maybe the guy who was in the Disney Channel movie 16 Wishes. For Evan, Garrett Clayton(look him up). Well I hope you enjoy reading Encompassed as much as I've enjoyed writing it.

p.s. I mentioned earlier that her death would be coming up soon. Changed my mind. It gonna be a while. ¡Te quiero mucho!
