Trouble Maker

"He hasn't been the same since you guys got together. He seems happier and kinder. He acts like a totally new person, like he has a new purpose to live. You're changing his life."

"No, he's changing mine."

11. Eleven

*Louis POV*

“Louissss.” Harry whined. “I just want to lay down and play video games.”

“You whine a lot, you know.” I chuckled, pushing him to the bathroom. “Take a shower and get dressed. Something nice. I have a special surprise for you.”

“You know I hate surprises.”

“There’s that whining again.” I poked him, laughing softly.

“Fine. I’ll put on real clothes.”

“Shower too!” I called as he shut and locked the door.

“Yeah, yeah, yeah.”

“You’re lucky I love you.” I walked back to the kitchen. I made sure the everybody was out of the bus tonight. Zoey and Niall were going out. Liam and Zayn were going clubbing. And the crew went somewhere else.

I quickly pulled the table to the center of the room and put a white table cloth over it.

“Hey Lou?” Harry called, stepping out of the bathroom. He had a towel wrapped loosely around his waist, his body nearly dripping in water, and steam emerged from the small bathroom.

“Yeah babe?” I stood in front of the table, attempting to block his view.

“Is there anymore shampoo? I couldn’t find any.” He looked down, reading the back of the bottle.

“Under the sink, to the right.”

“Thanks.” He looked up, smiling at me.

“Oh and Har?”

“You look really hot like that.” I smirked. He laughed to himself, walking back to his shower.

I walked back to the kitchen and grabbed a couple plates. I set them up on the table with two wine glasses. Liam helped me make dinner, since Harry is still attempting to teach me how to cook. I grabbed the pan out of the oven and spooned the casserole onto both plates. Popping the cork off the wine bottle, I poured it into the glasses. I placed a candle in the middle of the table and lit it.

I heard Harry turn on his blow-dryer. He usually puts on his pants, does his hair, and then finishes getting dressed. I have about 10 minutes left. Pulling off my tank, I traded it for a light blue button up and black slacks. I ruffled my hair, Harry likes it messy like that. I slipped into my shoes and took a breathe.

“Alright, I’m pretty again. What do you have--” Harry started. He looked at his hands as he button the wrist of his shirt. He stopped talking when he looked up.

“Happy anniversary.” I said, holding out a single rose.

“You.” He said softly, stepping closer to me. “You did this?” He took the rose.

“Yeah.” I looked down at my feet.

“Our anniversary isn’t for another two weeks, though.” Harry slipped my hand into his.

“Yeah, well, I thought three years is something special, and we could celebrate early.” I looked up at him.

“Yes. And it’s been the best almost three years of my life.” He grinned.

I kissed his lips, and walked over to pull out his chair for him. I sat across from him. We started eating, talking about all the memories we shared. X Factor days, recording our albums, all the concerts, fan experiences. Everything.

After dinner, I walked to the fridge. “And for dessert, we have your favorite. Banana crème pie.”

“I thought you didn’t know how to cook.” Harry smirked, cutting into his piece of pie.

“Liam helped me with dinner. And there’s a really nice bakery we passed. That's where I got the pie.” I explained.

Harry ate almost half the pie. When we finished dessert, I pulled him over to the couch and kicked off my shoes. He did the same, and sat down, with his legs across it. I sat down, partially on his lap, with my legs across him. He held onto my hip, turning my chin to him.

“Hey. I love you.” He kissed me.

“I love you more.”

“Doubt it.” Harry laughed. I turned on the TV.

“I got your favorite movie. I went to three Walmarts before I could find it, but I did.” Love Actually started on the TV.

*Zoey POV*

“Okay, it’s 7 o’clock, and it’s date time.” Niall announced as he started driving.

“Where are we going for dinner?”

“Checkers. This little drive in diner place.” He said.

Ten minutes later, he pulled into the parking lot. We both got cheeseburgers and fries. Niall and I sat down to eat. We continued the conversation we had back in the hotel room.

“Favorite ice cream flavor?” Niall asked me, taking a bite of his burger.

“Mint chocolate chip.” I responded.

“Peanut butter. Favorite place we’ve been?”

“Same.” Niall softly smirked. “Favorite type of music?”

“This might seem weird, but country.”

“Hmm, I never would of thought you’d be the country type.”

“My dad moved out to a really remote part of England after the divorce. I used to spend summers out there with him. We’d go fishing, hiking, camping, kayaking. He would play music like Luke Bryan and Zac Brown Band, and we would sit outside and eat ice cream, and watch the sun set.”

“That’s cute.”

“One time, he took me and Louis to America. We stayed in Georgia. There was this country music festival that we went to. He bought flannel shirts and cowboy hats for us. And we stayed there all night, dancing and just having a really good time. I'd love to go to one of those again some day. That was the best summer of my life.”

After we finished eating, we got back into the car and Niall drove to movie theater. We walked inside. A group of girls noticed him, screamed, and ran over.

They asked for pictures and autographs. Niall held up his hands to make them stop talking. “I appreciate you guys, but I’m here with my girlfriend. So I’d like to spend some time with my girlfriend.”

One girl came up to me. I was expecting her to tell me how much she hates me for dating Niall. But I actually got the complete opposite from her. She looked about 13 or 14 and was in tears.

“I love Niall, so much. He’s everything. This band is not just a band to me. They saved my life. And I’d do anything to meet them. Niall is kind of my favorite, and it’s every fans dream to date them. But we all have that reality hit, when you realize that you’re not gonna end up with them. And if I can’t have him, then I want someone like you to. Please don’t break his heart. He’s waited for you for a long time. And he deserves to be happy. And remember, be careful with him. Because when you hold him, you’re holding my world.” She wiped her tears, bit her lip to stop crying, and said, “I wish you guys the best.”

I didn’t know how to respond. What do you say to something like that? I wiped my eye, because I was tearing up. I touched her shoulder. “I promise.”

“Thank you.” She said, walking away.

I reached for her. “Can I take a picture with you? Niall too. I want remember this, because that was honestly the sweetest thing I’ve ever heard in my entire life.”

She wiped her face, and smiled. "I'd like that."
