10. Chapter 10

Lou still thought it wasn't a good idea. She was the only one who knows about my plan so far.

"I understand you wanting me to go, but, why Leo?"

"He defeated two cyclopes with a robotic crane and defeated the last one by dropping an engine on it. Plus, he can make little gadgets and fix things amazingly. Also, he can light on fire. I feel like fire might be something we need." I told her.

"This isn't about..." She dropped her voice. "You liking him is it?"

"No, no, no. He seems like the kind of person who'd be helpful on this kind of quest." She gave me a look. "Alright fine, it partially is. But that's only like, ten percent of the reason."

"Fine, but don't expect me to get along with him." She said. I rolled my eyes at her and left the cabin, going to find Leo to tell him.

After wandering around the grounds for a bit, and asking in Hephaestus cabin, I sat down on the grass. A moment later, a commotion across the grass caused me to look up to see Leo and Jason arguing. It seemed as though Jason was trying to get Leo to come and talk to me.

Leo looked over and I smiled and waved, then gestured for him to come over. He looked at Jason and Jason nodded and pushed him over towards me. I laughed and waited for him to reach me.

"Hey..." He said awkwardly, standing beside me.

"Sit, will ya?" I said and he did, sitting next to me on the grass. "You remember how I said when we first met that I was leaving?" I asked.

"Well, I'll be doing that soon. And Lou is coming with me. I'm going to look for my brother."

"Do you have to go?" He asked and I nodded.

"But for it to be considered a quest, I have to have three people. Lou and I only make two."

"Who else are you going to bring?"

"I was hoping you'd join me. You know, because you'd be helpful to have as a member of a quest. You're good with tools and machines, plus, you have your fire, which will be helpful." I said.

"Oh, don't flatter me now."

I laughed and smacked his arm. "Will you join us?"

"Sure. I'd love to."
