2. Chapter 1- The First Day of School

Edward's POV:

I wanted nothing more than to leave. To just get up and walk out the door. To say 'goodbye mum'. But that wasn't an option at the moment. We only moved here a week ago and I was already dreading the fact that I had to start school today, in a new town at a new school. No familiar faces, nothing, well except for my two brothers, Harry and Marcel. They weren't just like any brothers, they were identical to me. Harry more so than Marcel. They were my triplets, if that's how you say it.

I got up out of bed and went to take a quick shower before anyone else got the hot water. I trudged back to my room and picked out my normal clothes. It wasn't like I was trying to impress anyone anyways, so I threw on a white tank top and black skinny jeans. I grabbed my favorite beanie and headed down stairs.

McKenna's POV:

The first day of my sophomore year (I think it would be called Year 11 in the UK. Correct me if I'm wrong please) was here at last. I couldn't wait to start school again. This year I wasn't going to be the new girl who didn't know her way around. I stretched out on my bed before getting up and walking to the bathroom that was in between mine and my sisters bedroom. I stripped down and hopped in the shower letting the steam relax me. After my shower I went to my closet and looked through all my clothes for the perfect back to school outfit. The first day of school was always pretty hot, it usually stayed hot out well into fall around here. I picked out jean shorts and a colorful stripped top. I added my black tom's and put on my silver bracelet.

I skipped down the stairs to be greeted by Melody. She was sitting at the table already digging into her food. I sat down and shoveled some fruit onto my plate and grabbed 2 small pancakes. I grabbed some eggs and then began eating. Shortly after Mark joined us. Dad had already left for work and mum was getting ready for work.

"Excited for the first day of sophomore year?" Mark asked me.

"Yeah. It's going to be awesome. What about you captain of the football team?" I laughed. Tryouts were held a month before school started and Mark was so good that the team nominated him as captain even though he was only in Year 12 (junior year or grade 11 in the US). He played center forward mostly but sometimes would play center mid if one of the guys was injured.

"Oh yeah the ladies dig me" he joked.

"What about me?" Melody asked.

We both turned to her and sandwiched her in a hug. "Are you excited for the third grade?" I asked her.

"Yeah of course. And me and Sammy are in the same class again!" she said excitedly. I loved Melody, but sometimes she could be a handful.

"Ready to go?" Mark asked.

"Yeah" I said grabbing my bag. "Bye Mel"

"Bye Mac, bye Mark"

We headed out the door and got in the car Mark's car. It was only a 8 minute drive to school. I put on the radio and Justin Bieber started to play. My brother quickly turned the station until he found something he liked.

"So is it going to be the same this year Mac? Not wanting people to know you're my sister?"

"Yes Mark. No offense, but I prefer not to be the center of attention. I'll be fine" I told him.

Harry's POV:

I got down stairs and Edward and Marcel were both already eating. I grabbed a bowl and poured some lucky charms in the bowl and sat down at the bar. No one spoke. Me and my brothers weren't that close. All of us had our own personalities and tried to steer clear of each other at school. Except when Marcel got bullied. I stepped in right away, but Edward took a different approach. He would beat the guys up after school where no one would see him defending his brother. He was always like that. He never really liked to fit in and he didn't really try either. I was very protective over Marcel. He never seemed to mature as fast as Edward or I, but I don't think he even cared. I think that he actually is sort of oblivious to that sort of thing, which I guess is good. But that doesn't stop the bullies.

It was my idea to move here in the first place and I knew Edward hated me for it. He always liked living back home and traveling to dad's every other weekend. He still could technically do that since Holmes Chapel isn't too far of a drive. My mum thought that it would be a nice fresh start for the four of us since our older sister, Gemma  decided to transferred colleges and move farther away. So we sold the house, packed everything up and moved to Manchester. My mum's boyfriend, Robin, wasn't too happy about the move but understood and promised to make the commute over on weekends to see her. If you ask me things are starting to get pretty serious between the two. He hasn't official told us anything yet, but I definitely hear wedding bells in the future. Which would probably mean my mom would move back to Holmes Chapel to be with him. But none of that has happened yet.

Today is the first day of Year 11 and auditions for the X-Factor aren't until April, so I'll be 16 by then. I'll also get to attend school for the majority of Year 11 until I audition. That is of course if I make it I wouldn't go back, but if I didn't I would continue my education. Tryouts for the schools football team were a month ago, but I wasn't in town yet so I'm hoping that I can still make the team this late in the season.

After we were finished eating we piled in the car and waited for mum to take us to school.

Marcel's POV:

When we got to school I hurried to my first class of the day, advanced calculus. I enjoyed studying so I got ahead of my brothers academically. My brothers were happy that we all didn't have any classes together so that they teachers wouldn't get us confused. But I know that the real reason is because they don't want to be seen with me. I'm the baby of the family and nerdy one too. Its unspoken but true that Harry is the favorite, otherwise we probably wouldn't have moved. And both of us look up to Edward since he's the oldest and supposedly the coolest, even though Harry is my favorite since he sticks up for me when people bully me. Well at least he did at the last school, but I feel like it might be different this year, since all he wants is to fit in. I sat down in a seat in the second row and waited patiently for the bell to ring. Other kids started making their way into the class room. I didn't seem like it was going to be that full of a class. I looked up at the clock, 1 minute till 9 o'clock. I noticed a girl that didn't look like she belonged in advanced calculus. She had light wavy brown hair and just a dash of makeup. She was really pretty. She walked over and sat down right next to me. She turned and looked at me. I thought my glasses were fogging up from how pretty she was.

"Hi, I don't think I recognize you. Are you new this year?" her soft voice rang through my ear.

"Ugh yeah. I just moved here from Holmes Chapel. I'm Marcel" I said sticking my hand out for her to shake.

She took it and I thought I was about to pass out from just the touch of her. "I'm McKenna" she smiled. "What year are you? You've got to be pretty smart to be in this class."

"Year 11. What about you?" I asked her.

"Same" she smiled again at me.

The bell rang and the teacher took his place in the front of the class room. I was so distracted by her that I couldn't focus.

"Marcel? Marcel? Which one of you is Marcel?"

"Huh what?"

"Can you solve this equation?" the teacher asked. I walked up to the board and started to scribbled some work. I finished the equation and took my seat.

"Nice job" McKenna whispered to me.

The class went on and on. And eventually the teacher had told us all to pick partners for a project were going to be starting next week. I looked around the room and it seemed like everyone was partnered up.

"Do you want to work with me?" McKenna asked.

"Me?" I asked shocked.

"Yeah of course. I mean you seem like you know your stuff. So partners?"

"Partners" I repeated.

Edward's POV:
First class was over for the day only 5 more to suffer through. I stood at the end of the hallway lurking around looking for my next victim. I was starting to get lonely without all the girl flocking to me like how they did back home. But they were all the same. The same girls that just wanted a bad boy. Someone to have fun with, with no strings attached. Sure I fit that description nicely, but a part of me wanted more. But I knew that if I were to have it that way I would just end up hurting her. That's how I was. I can't stay tied down. I like my girls fresh and spunky. My eyes narrowed on a pretty brown haired girl. She was walking towards me. Her locker must be over here. I stood against a locker and it just happened to be hers.

"That's my locker do you mind moving?" her soft voice asked.

"Sure anything for you babe." I said moving my head closer to hers.

"I'm serious." She said. I moved away and she opened her locker. Something fell out of it and bent down to pick it up. "Sorry I'm so clumsy." she said.

"I bet you aren't in bed" I said seductively.

"Excuse me? Are you really trying to get me to sleep with you and you don't even know my name. I don't think so." She said grabbing her pencil pouch from my hand and slamming her locker and stopping off.

Yup, that was my next victim. She will be mine.

McKenna's POV:
That boy was utterly repulsive. I didn't know guys could be that jerky. I didn't really get a close look at him. But if I saw his face again I probably would walk up to him and slap him. I stomped down the hallway before meeting up with my best friend. Something in the back of my mind couldn't get the image of Marcel out of my mind. He wore suspenders to hold his pants up high matched with a sweater vest you could find at goodwill. He wore big glasses with tape to keep them together and gelled his hair back. But something about his face beneath the glasses was what I noticed. The-

"Hey Mac!" My best friend CeCe said pulling me out of my thoughts which was probably a good thing. I couldn't possibly be crushing on a nerd. I mean popularity didn't matter to me... but still it was weird to even have thoughts about it.

"Hey CeCe" I said giving her a warm hug.

CeCe was my absolute best friend. She had gorgeous natural blonde hair, and unlike the typical stereotype she was actually pretty smart when she wanted to be. But she was like the queen of drama and gossip. She knew everything about everyone. Any secrets someone had she knew about them. Don't ask me how, but somehow she did. And she was incredibly good at telling when I was lying to her.

"Hey so have you heard about the new guys?" She asked me.

"No" I replied.

"So apparently there's a set of triplets here. I haven't figure out all their names yet, but so far I've only met Harry. He's actually made friends with your brother already. And he's pretty hot. I so call dibs! Also he's probably going to tryout for the soccer team. Maybe we can go and watch. Or better yet that's what we need. To triple date and we can bring Ash along."

"Umm yeah I don't really want to blind date."

"We'll it's not really. Its just sort of, I don't know. But promise me you'll at least think about it." She said giving me her puppy dog eyes.

"Fine. You can set it up. I'm free after school." I told her. I gave into those eyes every time.
