My Sister's Fiancé (Fanfiction) - Completed

Scarlett never expected to see Harry Styles again. Ever. It was the last thing in the world she wanted to do. But what she doesn't that her Step Sister, Amber is bringing home a big surprise for the family. And it's not one Scarlett is going to like...

19. Sorry

Harry's POV.

I was just doing the last finishing touches to our reception hall. Amber had insisted that I come early and do it whilst she got ready. Typical, I thought.

I still felt guilty about this morning but it wasn't like I could storm over there right now, and apologize. Even if I wanted to...

Suddenly, I heard a whistle from behind me.

"Looking good, Ladiesss." I heard Liam say appreciatively.

Then I heard giggling, her giggling. I turned around to see Scarlett, standing there like an angel. She was stood there as beautiful as ever, in a sparkling gold dress with her long dark hair, cascading in waves down her shoulders. I had always loved that hair.

Madison coughed uncomfortably and I realized I had been staring for too long.

"Urm, yeah. Looking good...girls." I rambled.

What an idiot.

I continued glancing at her as she moved around the room though. And when she caught me looking, I would look away quickly. I was like some loved up puppy. A stupid loved up puppy.

Scarlett's POV.

I could see Harry looking at me but I tried to ignore it. Even if I was doing the exact same thing when he wasn't looking.

"Scarlett! Snap out of it." Madison chastised as she looked towards the door.

I looked towards the door, where a perfectly dressed Amber was. I sighed deeply and tried to focus on table decorations, otherwise I would just be either staring at Harry longingly, or glaring at Amber jealously. And neither, would get me anywhere.

After a while, guests started arriving and the hall started to fill up quickly. Exactly, how many guests were going to be here? The whole place was packed. And I even spotted some celebs...OH. MY. GOD. It was Ed Sheeran! Of course, I didn't actually have the guts to go up to him. But Madison did...she pounced on every celeb she could find. Typical Madison.

After all the conversation started to die down, we took our seats and began to eat. i couldn't even begin to tell you what it was, because I honestly didn't know. All I knew, was that I couldn't pronounce it. It tasted good though.

After a while of boring speeches and congratulations, I spotted the band boys. I grinned as I rapidly wrapped my arms around the closest one to me and squeezed tightly.

"Wow, you're getting hefty." Niall chuckled in his irish accent.

I pulled back and pouted, "That's what Liam I really that bad?"

Zayn chuckled, "He's just kidding Scar. You're not getting hefty anytime soon."

I smiled and hugged the rest of the boys in turn.

Then Harry came over, and it was my turn to leave.

"Hey, you don't have to leave." Louis told me kindly.

I looked at Harry who was standing beside him, "Yes, I really do."

I heard a string of curses as I left, but I didn't turn around to find out who they were coming from.

When I reached the outside, I leaned against the closest wall I could find, and put my head between my legs. That's when the tears began...

I felt like I was going to be sick. Literally. I had never experienced something like this before, and I knew what it was. I just didn't really want to accept it. I couldn't leave though, Madison would kill me.

"Scar...?" I heard a husky voice ask hesitantly.

I knew who it was instantly. I would recognise that voice anywhere, "What?" I spat.

"Are you crying?" Harry frowned.

I rolled my eyes, "No, I'm making a frickin pool."

He didn't speak for a few minutes. But I felt him edge closer to me. I didn't stop him from getting closer though. I just dreaded what I would do if he got too close.

"I'm sorry." he whispered as he rubbed a tear away.

I took a deep breath and clasped his hand tightly.

"Harry...don't marry her." I pleaded as I looked at him desperately.

He looked at me with indecision and hurt before opening his mouth to speak. But I knew the answer before he spoke it. He would marry her, no matter what I did.

"Oi, get your ass in here now. It's time for the Little things performance." I heard Niall yell.

I groaned and dropped Harry's hand, "Let's go. I want nothing more than to see you sing to my dear step-sister." I spat angrily as I stormed back in, ignoring Harry's shouts.

I was so over this.

That was our song. It was MY song.  It always had been, he has sang it to me at least 10 times. And now the bastard was singing it to her. My sister.
