4. The Return - Faith

I woke up in the morning wrapped up in Nate's arms. I look at my watch and the numbers flashed 6:19 am. Oh no! My perants had no clue where I was and I had no plausible excuse to explain why I had not come home. I unfolded myself from Nate and he groaned and sleepily snaked his hand around my wait and pulled me back to him, I shrugged him off and gatherd myself and made a move towards the door but by the time I got there he was standing in front of the door blocking my exit. I couldn't understand how he got there so fast, it was unnatral he was just on the couch half asleep and now he was here fully awake and standing in front of me.

''How.....What. Nate I have to go, my parents and I have to get ready for school and, Hey, how did you get here so fast?''

''Faith, come on you don't have to leave yet, and I can find you something to wear. I have a sister who used to live with me and she probaly will have left something that would fit you.'' He said with his hands crawling around my waist pulling me close enough to him to feel his breath playing on the top of my forehead making me feel lightheaded and dizzy.

''Nate I really have to go, I'll see you at school.'' I said and I began to push past him and out the door.

Before I could go though Nate pulled me into his arms and brushed his lips across mine briefly, it caught me off-guard but it was enough to lift me off my feet and send me into orbit. When he let me go, he waved goodbye to me and I practically skipped to my car. I drove home singing at the top of my lungs. I skipped in my front door only to be met by what can only be described as two faces that looked ready and poised to kill.

My parents. Standing there. Looking terrifying. I was toast. My mother looked like a banshee, her hair was standing up on edge and her eyes were bloodshot. My father, well my father looked like a reaincarnation of the dead. He was pale and he was pacing and he looked like he hadn't slept in a year. I stopped dead in my tracks and closed the door my perents caught my gaze and stared at me. They advanced towards me and started screaming.

''Why the hell do you think it's ok not to come home from school and for that matter not come home at all and then to think it's ok to come traipsing in like nobody's business. Unbelievible'' The scary thing was, they said this in unison just like they had rehearsed it.

''I am so sorry, I guess I just got caught up late after school and ended uppulling an all-nighter in the library and my phone must have died.'' I said sheepishly. I felt so guilty. I hadn't meant to stay at his house. I really hadn't. I ran up the stairs leaving my parents to shout at themselves and at each other. I felt really bad doing this but I had to get ready for school.

I cranked on the showers and jumped in letting the cool water wash over me. I quickly dried my hair and threw on some jeans, (the ones that made my legs look great.) and my most flattering top. I put on my usual minimulstic makeup and ran out the door before my perants could even open there mouths to shout at me some more.

I jumped in my car and high-tailed it to school. I drove through the rusting metal of the school gate and drove into the space next to Nate's car. He was leaning against the door looking like a god straight from the books of greek mythology. I got out my car and walked over to him, he instantly wrapped his arms around me and laughed as we walked into school barly able to tell where one of us ended and the other began.

We walked into tutor and took our seats side by side. We were talking to the girls that sat around us when our teacher walked in, she was closely followed by two new students who looked strikingly familiar. No, it coulden't be but it was, it was them. It was the boy and girl from Jackson's funeral. I felt all the blood rush from my head and Nate gave me a worried look and before he could say anything...

''Class these are our new students Brielle Swanley and Adrain Tolkien, please make them feel welcome to our class.''

I dared one look at them and I caught Adrain's gaze, those yellow eyes drilling holes in my skull. Brielle smiled at me showing her pearly white teeth, her smile just as false as her whole apperance. She was trying to hold back a laugh, I could tell it was just like Jackson's funeral but what was even stranger was that Nate seemed to know them. He seemed to worry about them being on our class almost shocked like they wern't supposted to be there but had showed up anyway but his expression quickly changed from shock to full on rage. What made matters even worse was they came and sat at the two empty chairs opposite us. I didn't know what was going to happen but I could tell it was not going to be good. Thoughout the morning I kept running into them, they seemed to be everywhere like a bad smell I couldn't rid myself of it. Adrain sat next to me in art and Brielle sure she sat next to me wherever she could, they never actully spoke to me through just looked at me just looked at me and smiled and what was weirder is that Nate was nowhere to be seen for the rest of the day.
