Another new school, on a different continent. I'm just glad I'm able to hide the scars on my face for once, I just want to be treated normally at this school. Hopefully I'll be able to stay for the rest of the year. But what happens if someone finds out my past and everything starts coming to hunt me?

3. Wanting You

Chapter 2

~Luca's POV~

 "What's wrong babe?" I asked Marry as we got into bed.

 "She's never had any friends since she gotten abused," she said. When she said 'she' I knew she meant Daisy. "Could you imagine how hard it must have been to be either bullied or ignored by everyone around you?" she looked up at me with watery eyes.

 "We are going to give her all the love that nobody has given to her," I told her pulling her closer to me. "She will learn that she is one of most beautiful women in the world next to you." I felt her smile.

 "I just hope that she will open up to you as well and can trust you," she said.

 "In time, I'm not gonna force her too right away. I get why she might be a little scared at first but she seemed to open up a bit at dinner."

 "Yeah, when I found her on the plane she barley said a word to me."

 "She looked terrified when she first saw me babe."

 "She did seem to start acting weird but she let up a bit, it might just take her some time."

 "Yeah. Night babe, you girls are gonna have a long day tomorrow with all that shopping."

 She laughed and said "Night sweetie."

 I kissed the top of her head and closed my eyes.

 ~~~~about half and hour latter~~~~
 I woke up to hear faint screaming. It wasn't Marry, she was sound asleep. Then Daisy came to mind. I ran out of bed and down to her room. She seemed to be having a nightmare. "Sssshhhhh. Its ok," I said rubbing her arm. Her eyes shout open and she breathing heavily. "Its ok sweetie. It was all just a dream."
 "So he didn't come and get me?" she asked.
 "Nobody is here just us and Marry is just down the hall sleeping. I just heard you screaming and I thought something was wrong."
 "Oh, I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to wake you at all," she said sitting up.
 "Do you want to talk about your dream?" I asked.
 "Maybe some other time. I have it a lot," she said and I saw a tear starting to go down her cheek.
 I wiped it away. "Do you want some water or something?" I asked.
 "Sure," she said. I got up and she started to follow.
 "No, I'll get for you."
 "Its fine. I fell like walking around a bit. Plus I should figure out where all the dishes are so I don't like a complete idiot if you guys have people come over." I nodded letting out a little laugh.
 As I poured her a glass of water I started pointing out where everything is. She looked in a few to see what we had, I think. She was so beautiful, I don't understand how somebody could abuse a kid.
 "Can I ask you something else?" She asked looking at me.
 "Sure, what is it?"
 "Do you know what Marry meant when she said that you guys picked a good one?" She asked.
 "We've been trying to have a child of our own, we've tried what seems like everything, but nothing worked. So we decided to adopt. At first we were looking for a baby, but nothing really seemed right. So we started looking for kids that were a little older pretty much each week." I looked up at her and she seemed to be wanted to know the rest. "You do also need to realize how often parents put their kids up for adoption here." She nodded at me. "Soon we were around the age of 13 or 14 when we went in one day and the agent we had was out of the room. Marry just happened to look at the screen and started to read your file and all that, she wouldn't listen to me about how we would get into trouble. As the agent came into the room all she could ask about was trying to adopt you. She was shocked at first then she printed out your whole file. God I could not stop laughing at her. She wanted you so badly. I knew I would get in trouble if I didn't ask for the sheets for you." I stopped laughing at the memoir about that day. "I asked for them in the middle of her ranting about how great that you would be. She literally screamed so loud that somebody called the police. I was sitting trying my hardest not to laugh while she was just bouncing up and down. I was so glad I didn't make coffee that morning." We were both laughing. "The agent kept saying that you wouldn't be a good fit for us. But the way Marry was starting to act, she's been so happy about some things, but not as much as I saw that day. Maybe this morning too, but I think all she wanted was somebody to take care of. And now we have you." Daisy looked so happily at me.
 "I know its really late but would it be alright if I toke a shower?" she asked.
 "Of course, but trying getting to bed. I have a feeling that Marry might go a bit to crazy while shopping tomorrow."
 "Thanks dad," she said giving me a hug and walking back upstairs. She called me dad, she really just called me dad. Now I know what it feels like to be a father. I toke her cup and put it in the sink for it to be washed tomorrow. I walked upstairs and saw Daisy poking her head out of the bathroom.
 "Where are the towels?" she said.
 "They're in the cupboards, you just pick anyone out."
 "Thanks," she said going back in with a big smile on her face.
 I walked into my bedroom and curled Marry back up. "Where did you go?" She asked.
"I heard Daisy screaming, she was just having a bad dream." I told her.
 She started getting up. "Is she ok?"
 "She fine now, we were talking for a bit. she called me dad." I smiled at her. "I had told about the how we found her. She was happy about it I'm guessing. She couldn't stop smiling."
 "I hope you said nothing about how the police were called when I screamed," she said demanding.
 "I think it made it better. I have a good feeling that she might even start calling you her mom." I kissed her forehead and we both dozed off to sleep.
~Daisy's POV~
 I hoped into the showering. I let the water calm me down knowing now that someone actually wanted me. Two people really wanted me and might do anything for me. I get to go to bed knowing that I'm being loved by people, it has been so long. It is such a relief knowing that they didn't care about all the scars I had. I was smiling the whole time in the shower and even as I crawled back into my bed knowing I was here to stay.
