Another new school, on a different continent. I'm just glad I'm able to hide the scars on my face for once, I just want to be treated normally at this school. Hopefully I'll be able to stay for the rest of the year. But what happens if someone finds out my past and everything starts coming to hunt me?

33. A New Friend

Chapter 32

A New Friend

It’s been over two weeks and the boys have been practicing for the upcoming tour so Marcel has been inviting me over more because it’s quieter. Marcel looked over at me and made a weird face. “MARCEL!” We heard one of the boys yell.

“What boy?” I yelled.

“We have all returned,” Niall said walking into the kitchen.

“Are you still hungry, Niall?” Liam asked.

“He always is,” I said.

“So what have you lovebirds been up to?” Harry asked.

“Nothing you need to know about,” Marcel said.

“We were just studying, something that you guys don’t know,” I said.

“I know what it is,” Liam said.

“Well you don’t have to study,” Marcel said.

“That’s only because I finished school,” Liam said.

“So what now?” Niall asked coming out of the kitchen.

“Ed said that he was gonna come over later,” Harry cheered.

“Yeah,” Louis cheered sadly.

“What’s wrong Louis?” I asked.

“Don’t worry,” he said storming upstairs.

“What happened?” I asked.

“Louis gets a little jealous of Ed because Harry and Ed get along really good,” Marcel whispered into my ear.

“I’ll talk to him,” Harry said going upstairs.

“Well that happened again,” Liam said.

“Does it happen often?” I asked.

“You have no idea,” Zayn said.

“Want to go out?” Marcel asked me.

“Where shall we go?” I asked.

“Just into town and then we can get some lunch,” he answered.

“Sure, let’s go,” I said.

Once Marcel and I were in town we just walked around for a little bit before we went to get some dinner.  After a few more hours just walking around we both just went back to the house.

“What are you doing?” Someone yelled from inside the house.

“Sounds like Ed is here,” Marcel said.

“This should be fun,” I said as we walked into the house.

“Is little Marcel back? And with a girl I see,” Ed said turning around to look at us from the couch.

“Hey man,” Marcel said, “I’m not that little.”

“But you’re the youngest,” Ed said. “Now who are you?”

“I’m Daisy,” I answered.

“Nice to meet you Daisy, I’m Ed,” he said.

“I know,” I nodded. “I should be getting home now, it’s getting late and there’s school tomorrow. Some people still actually have to go there because they’re not big pop stars.”

“Hurt full,” Harry said gripping his heart. “That just really hurt my feelings.”

“Whatever Harry,” I said.

“I’ll see you tomorrow,” Marcel said kissing the top of my head.

“Bye guys,” I said waving at them and left.

~Next day~

I woke up the sound of phone alarm making sure to get up on time for school. I got out of bed and started getting ready, and just getting out the door Marcel walked up to the front door. “Monday morning once again,” he said smiling at me.

“Hey you, bye dad,” I said before closing the door. “Can you explain why Louis is so jealous  about Ed hanging out with Harry?”

“It’s because people don’t ever think that Ed and Harry are going out like they do for Harry and Louis, or it’s not as big of a deal. It makes management forbid Harry and Louis going out unless others are with them,” Marcel explained “so when Ed is around Harry can go out with him and stuff.”

“Oh wow,” I said. “I didn’t think being gay was such a big deal.”

“Management say it’s bad for business,” he said.

“Then do you think that Harry wrote that song ‘Don’t Let Me Go’ about Louis?” I asked.

“Definitely, he said it was a secret message to him. That when Louis would listen he would know that it’s for him. It’s still hard for them.”

“It’s really sad,” I said some how out of breathe just at the thought of always having to hide a huge part of yourself.

“So what are you have planned for tonight?” Marcel asked.

“I have to work on the paper for Mr.Andrews,” I answered. “He said I’ll have to do one more after that and then I’ll be all caught up.”

“Well I’m gonna go to the gym if that’s alright,” he said.

“That’s fine, just don’t get too hurt,” I said smiling at him at the school campus was in front of us.

“You’ll be fine today. Today seems like a good day.”

With that we walked to English class where I didn’t want to leave as we were deep into “Romeo and Juliet.”

“Daisy may you please stay,” Mr.Andrews said as everyone started getting up.

I walked up to his desk. “How was your weekend Mr.Andrews?” I asked smiling at him.

“It was well thanks for asking, I wanted to ask you something that might be a little too personal but you don’t have to answer it if you feel like it,” he started off.

“What is it Mr.Andrews?” I asked.

“Do you know anything of your biological parents?” He asked.

“All I know that I was left in the park and my birth certificate had their names cut off, nobody knows for sure how they are. Why do you ask?” I returned the question.

“It’s just how much you look like my late wife, it’s eerie how much you look like her,” he said.

“Is that why you had called me Gabriella on my first day?” I asked.

“Yes, now you should get to class. If you could get the paper done by tomorrow would be great, then I’ll let you choose another book and you’ll be all good,” he said smiling at me.

“Okay,” I said smiling back at him and then went to get my things. Before I left I thought about it. “Could I see a picture of her?” I asked.

He grabbed his wallet out of pocket and then pulled out a picture of her. “Here.”

“Wow,” I said. I do look so much like her.

“You keep it, I still have more,” he said and I left for my next class.

By lunch I couldn’t stop thinking about the possibility that Mr.Andrews could be my biological dad and then my biological mom could be dead.

“Hey pretty girl,” someone said making me look up.

“Edward,” I said.

“That would be me,” he said sitting down across from me.

“Can I help you with something?” I asked.

“I was just hoping to have a nice chat,” he answered.

“Stop flirting with the new girl,” Helen said walking up behind him.

“I’m not flirting,” he responded.

“Every word you say to a girl is flirting,” she said.

“How?” He asked.

“Because it is,” Marcel said walking up behind me.

“Well that’s not fair little brother,” Edward said.

“I don’t care,” Marcel replied.

“Come on Edward,” Helen said and with that Edward got up and walked away with Helen.

“So what did Mr.Andrews need?” Marcel asked as he sat down next to me.

“He wanted to know if I knew who my biological parents are,” I answered.

“Why would he ask that?” He asked.

I pulled out the picture of Mr.Andrews and Gabriella. “That was his wife,” I told him.

“Holy crap, you look so much like her. Where did you get this?” He asked.

“Mr.Andrews gave it to me, I had asked if I could see what she looks like right before I left the classroom and he told me I could keep it. Would it be so bad if I wanted to really know if he would be my biological dad?” I asked.

“Hey you love birds,” Harry said walking up to the table with Niall and Zayn right behind.

“Hey,” I said smiling up at them.

“What’s with the picture you and that guy?” Niall asked.

“That’s not me,” I said.

“Let me see,” Niall said and Marcel gave it to him.

“Wait, is that Mr.Andrews?” Harry asked looking at it.

“And his wife,” I answered.

“Will Daisy Moore, Marcel Styles, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, and Zayn Malik please come to the office with your things,” was said over the intercom.

We all got up and separated to our lockers. Meeting at the office there stood my dad, Darrel, and Zayn. “Why do we need our things?” I asked.

“We’re leaving for a few days,” my dad answered.

“When are we leaving?” I asked.

“In a few hours,” he answered.

“I need  to see Mr.Andrews after school so I can finish getting caught up,” I explain.

“Is Mr.Andrews available right now?” My dad asked the lady behind the desk.

“May I help you?” Mr.Andrews said walking out of the printing room with a stack of papers.

“Hello, I’m Mr.Moore, Daisy’s dad. She said that she had to see you after school but I’ll have to be taking her out of a few days. Can she get the work now?” He asked.

“Sure, just come with me,” Mr.Andrews said as Marcel walked in.

“We’ll wait here for you,” my dad said.

“I’ll be right back,” I told Marcel.

I walked down the halls with Mr.Andrews next to me. “So it there a play that you had in mind?” He asked as we walked into his room.

“I feel like reading ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ again,” I told him.

“Then grab a copy. You have three projects you can choose from. You can write a different ending, make a short story as if you were a fairy, or make a short story of the love square between the four,” he said looking through his files.

“Do you think that I could be your daughter?” I asked getting up the courage.

“I’m not sure about a lot,” he answered. “I do know that you look so much like my Gabriella.”

“I showed the picture to my friends and at first they thought that it was me, that has to mean something,” I said.

He pulled out a piece of paper and handed it to me. “These are the requirements. And it might not be the best idea to show everyone that picture, I might get in a little trouble for giving it to you,” he said.

“Sorry,” I said grabbing the paper.

“Have fun on your trip though,” he said smiling at me.

I smiled back and made my way back to the office. “So do you have what you need?” My dad asked.

“Yeah,” I said nodding.

“Then let’s go,” Darrel said and we all walked to the van.
