17. She makes me smile

Ashton's p.o.v.

I was watching tv in the morning when I heard Harry coming in. 'Goodmorning.' He yawned. 'Morning.' As he made his way to the kitchen I noticed he was limping very badly, and it took him so much energy just to get some milk. 'Want some to?' Harry asked. 'It's ok, I'll get some myself.' When we were both sitting at the breakfast table I decided to bring up a subject I rather didn't talk about. 'Harry, what's going to happen to you, I mean with your leg?' Harry put down his glass and looked down. 'I talked about it with the boys and I think it's a good idea to get a prosthetic leg.' My heart skipped a beat when I thought about removing a leg. 'Are you sure about that?' 'If I don't I will be sitting in a weelchair in a couple of months, it would be a lot better to be able to walk around without pain and worry.' Harry sounde like he alrighty figured things out and that relieved me a bit. 'I'm glad you found a way out.' The doorbell rang and Harry stood up. 'That will be Holly.' He said. We he opened the door a girl around my age walked in. 'Harry!' She cooed as she walked in. 'Holly this is Ashton, he stays here for a while, kind of my new babysitter. No that's a joke, I like him staying here a lot.' Holly chuckled and smiled at me. 'Hi Ashton, I'm Holly.' 'Hi.' I said as I smiled back. I decided to let them alone and to go to the hotel where my bandmates were staying.'

Harry's p.o.v.

It felt like I could have endless conversations with Holly. She was as old as me and seemed to permanent happy. And I had to admit, when we made eye-contact, I almost drowned in her eyes. 'I'm goig out for dinner with my parents tonight so they're picking me up, is that ok for you? I think they just secretly want to know wich boy I'm haning out with.' I let out a chuckle. 'Ofcourse, imagine I'm a total ass who makes you work like a slave.' My heart made a happy jump as she started laughing. 'I'm sure they don't think that.' When I got up to get a drink I noticed her eyes following me. 'Harry you are limping very badly.' She said as I put a coke in front of her. She was righ, it was getting worse, but I just didn't want to give in, not yet. 'I'm planning on getting an operation, but just not yet, I want to get used to the idea first.' I explained. 'It was hald the truth, actually I was just really scared. Losing your leg isn't something you can decide in a minute. 'I'm sorry I brought it up again, it just hurts to see you limping like that.' I smiled at her. 'It's ok. And I promise you, when I got operated, and got used to my new leg, I will take you out for dinner or to any place you want to go.' I saw Holly's eyes sparkeling. 'You're so sweet.'

The door rang and I stood up to open the it. Outside were a couple that were propably Holly's parents. 'Hi, come in.' I said as I guided them to the living room. I tried to walk as normal as possible, but they didn't say anything about it so Holly propably already told them about my leg. 'Take a seat. Do you want to drink anything? I have coke and limonade, also other things but they are in the storage room, I can get it if you want to.' No dear, coke is alright.' The woman said with a friendly voice. 'I'd like a coke to.' The man said. I limped to the fridge to get the drinks while Holly talked to her parents. When I came back and put the glasses on the table, they turned to me. 'So you are Harry?' I nodded. 'My stepdad calls me Harold but everyone els calls me Harry. 'Yeah I read about you in the paper and also in a magazine.' My stomach made a turn when I thought all the articles putting me in a bad daylight. 'But you seem to be a lot nicer then what I've read about you.' I could barely hold in a sigh of relief. Holly's dad looked at his watch. 'We should go now, we have a reservation in the restaurant. They stood up and I walke dbehind them to say goodbye to them. Befor Holly walked away she turned around and hugged me. 'You're a very nice person Harry.' I was sure my cheecks flushed pink, and I never blushed before. 'And you are a very nice girl.' Holle smiled and walked to the car. I got a feeling i never had like this before, it was nice and warm. This girl is going to stay in mt life for sure.
