Emma hardly thinks there's any danger, because she has her bodyguard and her new famous friend, Ashley Remez to help her, but inside her heart, she knows that the utterly famous Emma Smith is wrong. When she's kidnapped, with the help of her boyfriend, and her assistant, Emma learns to do drastic things. Then her new cell mate comes along, and changes her situation.

9. Step Up

I’m walking down a red carpet, my blonde hair curled up into a bun, and my blue eyes big and bright in the flashbulbs of a thousand cameras. I’m wearing a long flowing green dress that has a tie and bow around the waist and a layer of shimmering see-through fabric over the green silk skirt. Jason is next to me, his own light brown hair slicked back, and his brown eyes sparkling. His arm is linked through mine, and we’re posing for magazine covers. We walk inside of the premiere building for our new movie. Inside, it’s decorated like the jungle from the movie. There are lots of people drooling over Jason, but he grips my hand tighter and we walk on. We hear people talking about our new 2010 blockbuster; Jungle Dance. We both smile at each other and I kiss his lips. As we walk inside the theatre for the movie premiere, I see a large man dressed in black watching us from a distance. When he sees that I spotted him, he quickly ducks away into the crowd of hungry people waiting for their shrimp scampi or coleslaw. Jason turns to me and asks if I’m ok. I nod and say I just need a drink. He hurries off to grab me a glass of fizzy cherry water, and I turn back to the line of hungry guests. The man is no where to be found. Jason comes back, and I take a sip of the water. I actually like the cool taste of the water versus the hot wave of sweat that had overcome me just moments before. We take our seats, and the movie plays before our eyes. Me, a tough jungle girl who lives with her mom in the vast jungles of Bono, and Jason, a city boy who is the lone survivor of a plane crash and has Ericka (me) help him escape from the jungle. When it’s over, Jason and I jump into a limo and ride to my house, where he brings me to the door, kisses me, then leaves to go home. I stand on the stoop, staring out at him as he leaves. Then I walk straight into a closed door. I fall backwards off the steps, and my whole body hurts. Styn rushes out to see me on the steps. She calls 911 and I’m rushed to the hospital.

I wake up in a cold sweat. My whole body hurts, like it did three years ago when I fell of the steps. Except this time it hurts more because I can’t move at all. My ankle is shackled to a bench, and my hand hurts so much, I can’t move it. I’m stuck in a cell of sorts, and I immediately look around, and see a cot for a bed, a rusty toilet, and bars in front of me. My eyes adjust to the dark, and I see a hallway behind the bars. I hear whimpers and yelling from up and down the hallway, but sharp cracks and snaps stop it. I relax my muscles and just lay on the hard ground until I hear the unmistakable voice of one person I didn’t want to see saying “Where is she?” Then a gruff voice saying “33b Jason Sanchez. 33b.”
