Birds of A Feather

It's been two years since the Titans saved the world from Raven's psychotic father; Trigon. Well, Raven had to leave and go back to Azarath for her mother. Her mother was married to new King of Azarath. And Raven, being her only child is the heir to the Azarath throne. She is now a Princess and her mother is unable to have anymore children (thanks to Trigon, of course). Raven is now 18, and she misses her friends deeply, hates the tedious politics of court, and can't stand the people of Azarath with all the looks of disdain she gets day in and day out. She has her heart set on leaving one day, but she loves her mother too much to leave her. So, what happens when an old friend and former flame shows up, missing her and wanting to take her home? Will she stay or will she go? What is there for her in a city that thinks of her as a monster, no matter her high standing in the society?

11. Planning A Family Reunion

 ~*At The Bat Cave*~

"Tim! Let's go." A man yelled at his second and youngest son.

"Coming, Dad!" The boy yelled back.

"Hurry! Get in the car! Your idiot brother has bitten off more than he can chew. Again."

"You said "get in the car." You never do that! And do you really think Richard is an idiot?"

"At the moment? Yes. And Bruce says get in the car. Not Batman."

"But we're taking the Bat Mobile!"

"Doesn't matter."

But Bruce was already in the car, all of their supplies and clothes were packed away in the back of the sleek Bat Mobile. Tim groaned and ran to the car, knowing his father would drive off without him if he pushed his luck.

"What did Dick do this time?"

"He found Trigon again."

"But last time he was able to defeat him!"

"No, that would be Raven Roth that defeated him."

"Then why does he need our help?"

"Because he's finally stopped being a stubborn a-s."

Tim wasn't shocked at his father's language in the slightest. When Batman OR Bruce get annoyed he tends to use foul language.

"Okay, Dad."

Bruce nodded his thanks as he picked up his phone, dialing his son's number that he knew by heart, he didn't have to look at the contact, he just typed it in. And with the phone ringing, a proud and happy grin fell into place on his face.

He was proud of both his boys. And he knew that one day they'd understand with children of their own.

My phone was ringing. I looked down at it, and it was my dad.

"Hello?" I asked when I answered it.

"Dick, your brother and I are on our way."

"How far are you?"

"We just got in the Bat Mobile."

"Halfway. Got it."

"Good." Dad was about to hang up, and I needed to say something quickly.

"I'm sorry. And...thank you."

Dad was quiet for a bit, contemplating my actions, I'm sure. "Dick?"

"Yes?" I said, my voice was wavering.

"You're welcome. I'm proud of you. I love you, see you soon."

"I...I love you too, Dad. See you soon."

I was shocked a bit. Dad just said that to me. I haven't heard that in years. Not since I left to join the Titans. It was wonderful to hear those words again. And to day them back.

"So?" Raven asked as she got off her twelfth phone call.

"He's on his way."

"Okay. So are, you're going to hate me. But I called BatGirl personally and she's on her way."

"Why would Robin hate you for doing that?" StarFire exclaimed with a cheery smile.

"Because that's not the only person I called."

"Who else did ya call, Ray?" Beast Boy asked.

"Just spit it out, Ray!" Cyborg said.

"I called a few more people."

"And....???" Robin said.

"You're not going to like the first few."

"Just tell me, Hun."

"I called... Joker, Riddler, Penguin, Slade, Selina, and The Five."

"Great!" Robin snapped ate sarcastically.

"Well, Joker already knows all of your secret identities!" I said defensively.

"Actually, he's a genius and you think he wouldn't have figured out WHO YOU GUYS WERE?!"

"Well, yes!"

"You're dumb."

"Who else did you call?" Star asked with a confused look. "That's only seven calls. You made twelve."

"Right, I also called in Flash, Green Arrow, Black Canary, Speedy, Wonder Woman, J'on, and Super Boy."

"Let me guess, Green, Speedy and Canary all one call?" Cyborg asked with a smirk as if he knew everything.

"Being as Green and Canary got married last year, yes. And Speedy was adopted like Robin. Both of their daddies are super rich."

"Your dad's awesome, Robin!" Beast Boy said with a laugh.

"But..." Robin said, a bit floored.

"No buts. Just accept it."

"Fine." Beast Boy, Cyborg, and Robin all said together.

I smiled triumphantly. We had an army. An army of people I knew I could personally trust. But if Robin could trust four of them, that would be a huge test.
