Birds of A Feather

It's been two years since the Titans saved the world from Raven's psychotic father; Trigon. Well, Raven had to leave and go back to Azarath for her mother. Her mother was married to new King of Azarath. And Raven, being her only child is the heir to the Azarath throne. She is now a Princess and her mother is unable to have anymore children (thanks to Trigon, of course). Raven is now 18, and she misses her friends deeply, hates the tedious politics of court, and can't stand the people of Azarath with all the looks of disdain she gets day in and day out. She has her heart set on leaving one day, but she loves her mother too much to leave her. So, what happens when an old friend and former flame shows up, missing her and wanting to take her home? Will she stay or will she go? What is there for her in a city that thinks of her as a monster, no matter her high standing in the society?

9. An Awkward Phone Call

"Well, who is Trigon?!" Robin demanded tersely and angrily.

"Shut up! He has spies everywhere and he could hear you!" I snapped.

That quieted him down. Quickly, I placed a spell around us so that we could not be seen or heard. And I revealed everything to him.

"You mean to tell me that your mother's new husband is TRIGON?!"

"Yes. But that's exactly WHY I need you to contact Batsy," he gave me a glare at the mention of The Joker's nickname for his father. "Sorry. Batman. And BatGirl. And whoever else is on good terms with him right now. I can't do this alone. If he has enough power to come back in the form of a human he knows I loved, so soon after his demise, then there's no telling HOW powerful he is NOW!"

Robin sighed. He knew he had no choice in the matter. He pulled out a cell phone and started dialing.

I pulled out my cell phone and started dialing. I knew the number by heart. Ever heard of the person that spent more than one million dollars in order to have that number: 867-5309? Well, that was my dad. Bruce Wayne.

Not that he flaunts his money or anything. He just really likes that song and thus, the number.

But as I punched it in, I was praying that Alfred was the one to answer it. No such luck.

Dad's deep voice answered, "Dick? It's been over two years! Where are you? What are you doing?"

"Dad... I know. I'm sorry, I abandoned all of you. I'm sorry. And, I need your help. See, the thing is, Trigon is back. And I need all of you. I miss everyone and I love you all too. It's just I needed some time to figure out who I am. That's why I left. But I need all of you. Please."

This was really awkward. Especially for me to listen in on. But, what's good is that now I have back up.

Now, it was my turn. I pulled out my phone and started to dial Titan Tower.

Anyone but StarFire. She's too happy. I pleaded silently.

And as it would seem, luck was in my favor. was Beast Boy who answered.

"Titan Tower! Here to help and serve. Protect and help. Uhhhh... Was that right..??" He said.

"Beast Boy, shut up. Listen carefully. I need all of you guys to get anyone you know who will fight against my father. No time for question. Just do it and then get here. Robin's here with me already. Just hurry up." I snapped.

Robin just hung up as I did.

"Well?" He asked.

"Beast Boy answered. He's working on it."

"Well, I guess we just sit here and wait now."

"Yeah. I guess so."

And we did.

We waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. And waited.

Until there was an explosion near our coordinates. And then a cry of "DANG IT!"

We started on our way to get them.

I groaned. If there was even the tiniest hope of us even hoping to be stealthy, it was gone. Now, the entire bloody kingdom knew our location.

"No, Cyborg. I AM GOING TO KILL BEAST BOY!" I hissed when we got there. And I did.

Well, enough that I had Beast Boy rocking back and forth for an hour in fear.
