2. Just another day

The final bell rang for lunch and I made my way to the lunch room. I picked up a cheeseburger and a Gatorade and paid for all of it. I made my way out of the lunchroom, careful not to drop my food, and down the hall to the 300 hall. I passed by popular people, almost everyone single one of them gave me an ugly look. A few of them flipped me off. Boy I wanted to flip them off too, but I would only be picking a fight I couldn't win.

I passed my locker where a few boys I knew, well kinda knew, were standing. They were on the football, baseball, or basketball team. I didn't know or care which one. I turned the corner of the 300 hall and out of the corner of my eye I could see them following me. There was three of them, and I was so weak and skinny I could hardly fight one. But I could if I had too. Like that one time... yea... I spent a night in jail for beating some guy up. The cops thought I was drunk or something. My dad wasn't too happy about having to pick me up.

I set my food down on the ground and turned to face the three much bigger guys. Brad was tall and skinny, I guess he was the one on the basketball team, but even though he was skinny he was still pretty big if that makes any sense. Zack was shorter than me but was stocky. I used to see him at the gym when I would go before my mom died. And Luke was a bit taller than me and big.

"Sup scum," Luke said as he stepped up closer to me. I took a step back.

"Oh come on now. We don't wanna hurt you," Brad said. Brad was always wanting to make peace but whenever there was a fight, he would be there. "We just wanna chat a little."

"Yeah? About what?" I asked.

"About you," Zack said as he picked up my Gatorade. "Whats your problem?" he asked as he took a sip of my drink.

"I don't have a problem, maybe your the one with the problem since your stealing my drink," I said as I grabbed my drink back. Zack gave me a dirty look and shook his head.

"If I want something, then I take it," he said as he punched me in the stomach and grabbed my drink. They walked away laughing. Through my blurred vision I could see them passing MY drink back and forth between them. I swore under my breath. The final bell rang and I kicked my tray of food and walked to class.
