The Styles Triplets

Harry, Edward and Marcel may all look the same, but they are completely different, especially their secrets. Baylee may look like a normal girl, but her mom passed away 6 years ago and no one knows the real reason why, until she is forced to tell the boys. Not only does she have a big secret, they all do too.

4. Chapter Four

"Baylee, time to get up."

"5 more minutes, please dad?" I mumble into my pillow

"Baylee, get up NOW!" he yells and walks out slamming the door making me jump and fall out of bed.

The best way to wake up...not.

I eventually untangle myself from my sheets and make my bed. Once that is done I go to my bathroom and have a shower.

I pop on some black jeans and a loose brown knitted jumper and decide to let my hair dry naturally. I slip on some fluffy socks and head downstairs.

Only then did I realise that the sun hadn't risen yet.

"Thanks, dad," I mutter to myself. I roll my eyes and head toward the kitchen.

When I get there everyone is at the table, the triplets look dead, Anne is half-asleep and dad is wide awake. Stupid morning person.

"Morning," I lazily say.

They all mutter a morning except Edward...should've expected that.

"Why are we up so early?" Harry complains.

"Your mom and I have decided that we are going to leave in about 2 or 3 hours for a little holiday down to Bay and I's country house." Dad answers.

"What does that have to do with us?" I ask. If he wants to go with Anne, then go, no need to tell us this early. Leave a note or something.

Marcel and Harry nod in agreement and turn to look at my dad.

He is glaring at me, but I shrug it off.

"We decided we are going down altogether. You three boys and Baylee too." He replies not looking at me again.

"How long is the drive?" Edward asks. And he speaks!

"5 hours..." Dad and I say at the same time.

"5 HOURS!" all the boys say together, waking themselves and startling Anne.

"Now boys, I'm sure it will be great bonding time with Baylee. You four are going to drive up in one car, whilst Dylan and I go in another one." Anne says.

They boys all look at me with different expressions. Marcel has an 'I don't really care, I'm too tired' look, Harry has a huge smile, and Edward is angry.

Well then...this will be interesting.

"I'm sure the boys would like some guy time. I don't want to intrude or anything. I can drive myself up, it's all good." I say to Anne and Dad.

Dad looks from me to the boys and back.

"Baylee," He says in the new serious tone, "you are going with the boys and that's final."

I groan. "Whatever." I turn to go back to my room, "I'll be packing if anyone wants me."

This is going to be an awkward 5-hour drive.

It's 7:30 am now, two hours and a half later from when dad woke us all up.

Everyone is literally about to fall asleep.

All our things are packed for the two weeks away and have been placed in the boot of each car.

I quickly climb into the back of Harry's black Range Rover, behind the driver's seat, and place my pillow in the corner of the seat and door, and my blanket on top of me.

Harry climbs in the back sitting on the opposite side of me.

"Why aren't you driving your own car?" I ask him.

"Edward wanted to drive, and you know him. You never argue with him." He replies.

That is true. It's either Edwards's way or the highway.

Marcel jumps into the passenger seat at the front and gets a book out of his backpack.

"What are you reading?" I ask curiously.

"Uhh... To Kill A Mockingbird..." He replies awkwardly.

"I don't get that book," I state.

"Neither do doesn't tell you how to kill a mockingbird. I was very disappointed," Harry says seriously.

Marcel and I look at him then at each other and burst out laughing.

"What's so funny?" Edward says as he opens the door to the driver's seat.

We all stop laughing simultaneously.

"Something I said," Harry says, confused.

"Okay, whatever," Edward says, "Wouldn't have been anything real funny anyway."

What crawled up his bum and died?

Oh wait, I'm in the car...that's close enough. Still don't get why he hates me.

I scoff and plug my earphones in when Harry taps my shoulder.

"What does this country house look like?" he asks.

Marcel turns around in his seat to look at me, Edward observes through the rear-view mirror, starting the car.

"It's like a normal house, obviously, but it's made out of wood. It's two stories but looks like a mansion. There's a pool at the back, 5 rooms, each with an on suite with a spa. It's in the middle of the woods, that's why it's called the country home. Yes it has the internet, and yes there are people that stay around it, like neighbours, but it's about a 5-minute walk to each. There's a beach down the road and that's about a 15-minute walk to get to. Also, my mum designed it so it's elegant." I reply, looking out the window whilst saying the last part.

"Phew! I thought there wasn't going to be Internet!" Harry says all happy.

"My brother made sure that there was Internet there," I say turning back to them and smiling.

"You have a brother?" Marcel asks.

"Uhh...yeah...he was at the wedding...I was with him the whole time. We rarely see each other, " I state back.

"Really! That was your brother?! I thought that was your date..." Harry says.

I just laugh at his assumption.

"Why doesn't he live with you, well us now?" Marcel asks.

"He's 23, living with his girlfriend about 4 hours south. He is going to university there." I explain.

"Oh okay, fair enough," Marcel says and goes back to his book.

"Do you miss him?" Edward asks.

Harry, Marcel and I all look up at him in disbelief. Why did he care?

"All the time. He was my best friend. I could go to him for anything and everything." I say keeping my cool, which I pulled off well. Glaring at Edward, hoping he can catch the message, which I think he does.

I plug in my headphones and start listening to whatever wants to play
