Stuck in the Books

Piper Addison Valentine is the epitome of a golden child. At the age of 15 she graduated high school, and was planning on a teaching degree. A secondary school offered her a job to get the funds for tuition. Now four years later she is understudying from her old teacher, and a private teacher. But what happens when the biggest boy band needs to freshen up on their studies?

1. Another Day (Piper's POV)

Beep-Beep. My alarm clock blared. Another day of waking up at 4:45 in the morning. I soon sat and turned my annoying alarm clock off. I pulled my floral duvet off my body and stretched my aching limbs. I looked down at my pajamas, a pair of batman shorts, a white tank, and batman slippers. Can you tell I'm a little obsessed?

Before I continue I should introduce my self. My name is Piper Addison Valentine and I'm 19 years old. I live in London, England but I originally come from Wolverhampton, West Midlands. I'm a only child with a loving family. I have red hair and brown eyes. My favorite color is teal or pastel pink. My favorite food is strawberries and cream. My favorite things to do is read, write, sing, and work at the school. At the age of 15 I graduated secondary school, and at age 18 I graduated university. I got a degree in education. Now I am a teachers helper. I now live by myself a large flat downtown.

As I was saying, I got out of bed and soon went to the kitchen. I grabbed a hard boiled egg and some almonds. after eating I went to my closet and picked my outfit. A pair of star shorts, a graphic tee, and my combat boots. Then I put on some makeup. Just some eyeliner, mascara, and some nude lipstick. I also straightened my hair. I grabbed my teaching journal.

When I was in school I really didn't have any friends. I was bullied daily but I got used to it. But the only people I talked to were my teachers. I felt that they got me. Even in university I was a loner too. I was always like that as a child. I'm just not the trusting type.

I hopped into my car, a sliver range rover. As I started the car, I realized that I was ahead of schedule. Almost to the school I stopped by Starbucks. As I went inside, ordered, and waited for my coffees I saw a group of suspicious guy wearing hoodies and sunglasses.

"Piper" the worker called out. I went up to the counter and thanked him. I noticed that one of the guys was looking at me. I shrugged it off and headed back to my car. I finally got to the school. I headed down the barren hall ways that will soon be bustling with teenagers. I headed to the lecture room where my best friend, Mr. Peterson. I have been working with him since I started here right after I got my degree.

"Good morning,'' I said startling him. He was writing todays lesson on the chalkboard.

"Oh, you scared me Piper. Good morning." He responded. He looked tired and stressed out.

"What's wrong?" I asked, handing him his coffee.

"Oh, I was up all night grading the essays on Hamlet. Only a hand full of kids understood the subject matter." he said quite disappointed." I feel like I can't teach anyone."

"Don't say that. You are a great teacher. Some kids just need a different way of learning. Today lecture will sure clear up the air." I said trying to reassure him.

"Well I hope today is better!" he said. I hoped too.
